President Obama moves to head off the spread of Nomophobia in America

Are you NOMOPHOBIC?
A recent study sponsored by SecurEnvoy has found that since 2008, the amount of people who fear being without a mobile phone has grown from 53 percent to 66 percent.
The term nomophobia, meaning the fear of being out of mobile phone contact, was first coined by British researchers in 2008.
The full story is HERE.

In anticipation of this malady becoming an epidemic here in the United states, President Obama began a test program in Ohio where this disorder seems to be getting the best of some of it's citizens. No longer do these nomophobics need to fear the loss of their cellphones. Below is the appreciative spokeswomen for the Cleveland branch of Nomophobics for Obama:

Democratic voter registration declines nationwide but especially in swing states

MSNBC Caught DOCTORING a Romney Event clip

This is MSNBC, but if NBC considers them part of their "news family" than this is their baby, too.
NBC is doctoring audio a lot. Aren't they?
In this case, they are using the tactic I've noted quite a few times. They did this with Zimmerman, too,
if you remember. If you are given a chyron of text telling you what the speaker is ostensibly saying you will hear the speaker saying it, even if he is not in fact saying it at all.
It's an interesting demonstration of suggestibility.
Which apparently NBC doesn't know about, despite internet partisans using this trick over and over and over again.
The full story is HERE.

Here is the event in it's entirety. I had recorded it myself from a live feed. The sound is CRYSTAL CLEAR The crowd yelled Romney....Romney.....and then Mitt reminded them it should be, Romney/Ryan: (17:30 minute mark)

Before there was Romney the presidential candidate, there was Romney the romantic. In this week’s cover story, Jon Meacham looks at how Romney’s identity was shaped by his Mormon roots. To illustrate this formative time in the presidential candidate’s life, we turned to a surprising photo found in the archives that shows the rarely-seen personal side of the candidate.

Mitt Romney endorsed by 41 Medal Of Honor recipients

From Mitt Romney's website:
“Of all the heroes that have served in our armed forces, only a few have had the great privilege of receiving the Medal of Honor,” said Mitt Romney. “They are the best of us all, and their dedication to our freedoms and their fellow servicemen and women serves as a shining example to every American. I am deeply honored and grateful to have the support of so many of these brave men, but my deeper thanks is for their service to this nation.”
“I have dedicated much of my life to the service of my country, and I want it to be in good hands for the next four years and beyond,” said Medal of Honor recipient Leo Thorsness. “In Mitt Romney, I believe we have a leader who can address the problems we face, while restoring America to its place on the world stage. Governor Romney understands the needs of our servicemen and women, and he will ensure that those who have fought for us abroad will not have to fight for a good job and good healthcare when they come home. We need that sort of leadership in the White House.”

A Political Allegory of the Farmer

I've had some interesting discussions with a wrong headed liberal who refuses to believe anything good about Mitt Romney. She is a co-worker of mine, so it makes it interesting. While pondering the last discussion I had with her, I came up with what I thought was an interesting allegory. Here it is.

Suppose you are a very successful, wealthy farmer. Your farm consists of pigs, cows, chickens, corn, wheat, etc., etc. You have hired hands and a sweet family. Being a successful and very generous farmer, you don't mind that you have some people who come in and take some ears of corn, or some wheat for bread. Despite giving of your farm's products very generously to various charities that service those in need, you instruct your hired hands to do nothing about them. Let the intruders take what they will. After all, you are very successful and very wealthy. It doesn't hurt. After some time the intruders start taking pigs and cows. You think, "That's not so bad, they deserve a little meat once in awhile."

However, you notice a disturbing trend. While taking your fruits into the stores in town, you notice some vandalism to the property. Broken fences, spray painted barns and rocks. Not a problem, just an annoyance. But farther into town you see posters, fliers, and other propaganda all slandering your good, and very generous, name. Some of the handbills even threaten violence against you. This does not seem right. After all, you share your wealth with those in need and with anyone who asks.

You try to appease the people, talk with those responsible. However, violence does erupt. Many of your hired hands are bullied or beaten.  Even your family is starting to get roughed up.  The next week, your foreman is found dead, having been killed while looking for potential employees to hire. What is your course of action?
If you are Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, you go to the town and post an apology at the town hall and send a truck with speakers to blast that apology to the people.

Karl Roves dissects the PHONY OBAMA poll numbers

Bill O’Reilly spoke with Karl Rove and analyzed the recent polling numbers in swing states. Rove pointed out the importance of the ‘partisan matrix’ in polling and highlighted the CBS/NYT Polls taken in Florida and Ohio. Exit polls from previous elections provide the greatest understanding into what party will potentially have the larger voter turnout. Rove highlighted the flaws in the CBS/NYT Polls in Florida. The Poll is projecting that three times the amount of democratic voters as in 2008 are expected to turnout for the presidential elections:

Obama and unemployment: A conflict of interest

Why does high unemployment persist under Obama? There are several answers to that question: Obama has overspent, overtaxed, overregulated, over-used inflammatory rhetoric against job creators etc.

Another answer that often comes up is that Obama has misprioritized: Instead of focusing solely on the jobs issue he just passed a poorly crafted stimulus bill early in his term and then went right onto his health care reform (and his golfing).

Why is this? That's the question I'll try to answer in this post. Many people claim that Obama prioritizes the way he does because he is incompetent, or because he has a messiah complex and believes he can solve all the problems at the same time. This may be part of the answer for sure, but I think the real problem is something that affects every democrat: A conflict of interest.

You see, unemployment doesn't really hurt the democrats that much.

Mitt Romney was absolutely correct in that 47 % of the voters are essentially "lost" from a Republican point of view. These people, because they don't pay the federal income tax and in many cases rely heavily on government assistance (whether it's in the form of unemployment benefits, medicaid or something else), have a great incentive to vote for the Democrats to keep the milk coming from the government's teat.

But surely, if they voted Republican, they could get real jobs in the private sector? Jobs that would pay more than whatever money the receive on the dole. So why don't they?
