‘We’re Just Waiting for Another 9/11’: Migrants Buy Fake Green Cards, Social Security ID from NYC Gangs

Black market fake green cards and social security identification are being openly hawked to illegal migrants on the streets of New York City, a report revealed.

Criminals linked to MS-13 and other gangs have been spotted selling the fabricated documents this week in Queens, the New York Post reported.

At least ten men were selling the bogus cards for $80 to $250 while “camped out in broad daylight at four corners along Roosevelt Avenue in Queens,” according to the outlet.

Roy Fenoff, an associate professor at the Department of Criminal Justice at the Citadel, South Carolina, said the documents grant migrants access to almost everything a citizen has.

“Once people have these fake cards, they can work, they can travel, they can access a lot of aspects and services in the United States,” he said. “There are people getting these cards that are not here just to get a job, that they have other intentions, and this helps them carry out criminal activity.”

While the social security cards are fake, the numbers can belong to real U.S. citizens.

“If I’m using a social security number that’s of another person, and then I’m committing crimes, and I’m using [their] name, you potentially have warrants out there for innocent people’s arrest, because you don’t really know who this person was,” Fenoff said.

Bruce Foucart, a former special agent in charge of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) investigations in New England, also said the fake identification cards could be utilized by someone with dark intentions.

With fake IDs, illegal migrants could “load up a truck with bombs … and bring it underneath the Holland Tunnel and create something major and disastrous,” Foucart warned.

“For someone that wants to do terrorist activity or is a national security threat, it’s easy to establish this second life within the US,” he said.

“I guarantee right now, we’re just waiting for another 9/11.”

A police source told the Post that the Roosevelt Avenue hawkers are affiliated with the 18th Street gang as well as MS-13.

“It’s big business,” the source said. --->READ MORE HERE

Migrants Impersonate U.S. Citizens in Illegal Attempt to Enter Country:

Customs and Border Protection officers at the Juarez-Lincoln Port of Entry in Laredo, Texas, arrested several migrants attempting to assume the identity of United States citizens. The migrant imposters arrested earlier this month were found to be in possession of valid birth certificates that did not belong to them. In two other incidents in recent days, officers at the Juarez-Lincoln Port of Entry thwarted similar attempts by migrants to use identity documents, either fake or valid, in failed attempts to enter the United States.

The first encounter occurred on Friday as CBP officers inspected bus passengers arriving at the Laredo bridge. A 35-year-old female provided officers with three United States birth certificates for three minor children and an adult female. The officers referred the migrant and the children to a secondary examination area for further investigation.

The officers determined the U.S. birth certificates were authentic, but during the investigation and interview of the migrants, officers determined the migrants were imposters. The woman, a seven-year-old girl, and two boys, ages 11 and five months, were found to be Mexican citizens with no lawful basis to enter the United States.

On the same day, CBP officers at the Laredo bridge inspected passengers arriving at the port in a 2020 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The officers were presented with a U.S. Employment Authorization Card issued to a female. A 48-year-old male and 48-year-old female were occupants of the vehicle at the time of inspection. Officers verified the authenticity of the Employment Authorization Card but determined the female occupant was an imposter.

Officers determined the female occupant of the vehicle was a Mexican national with no legal basis to enter the United States. The pair were arrested for violations of immigration laws, and the vehicle they were traveling in was seized. --->READ MORE HERE

Ukraine launches far-ranging drone attacks on the final day of Russia’s presidential vote:

Ukraine launched a new massive wave of drone attacks Sunday as Russians cast ballots on the final day of a presidential vote set to extend President Vladimir Putin’s rule for another six years.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported downing 35 Ukrainian drones overnight, including four in the Moscow region.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said a fifth drone, close to the capital’s Domodedovo airport, was later downed on Sunday morning. No casualties or damage were reported.

According to the Defense Ministry, another two drones were shot over the Kaluga region just south of the Russian capital and the Yaroslavl region northeast of Moscow.

The attacks on the Yaroslavl region, which is located about 500 miles from the Ukrainian border, were some of the farthest launched by Ukraine so far.

More Ukrainian drones were downed over the Belgorod, Kursk and Rostov regions that border Ukraine and the southern Krasnodar region, the Defense Ministry said.

Belgorod Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov said the Ukrainian shelling killed a 16-year-old girl Sunday and injured her father.

A drone fell on a refinery in the Krasnodar region, sparking a blaze that was extinguished a few hours later, according to regional authorities. A worker at the refinery died of a heart attack, officials said.

Refineries and oil terminals have been key targets of Ukrainian drone attacks.

The attacks followed a series of other Ukrainian drone raids and other attacks over the past few days that Putin described as an attempt by Ukraine to frighten residents and derail Russia’s presidential election. --->READ MORE HERE

Ukraine war latest: 12 Russian oil refineries reportedly hit in recent attacks by Ukraine:

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) drones have recently successfully attacked 12 oil refineries in Russia, a source told Ukrainska Pravda, including an overnight attack on March 17 of an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Krasnodar Krai.

The SBU carried out the most recent attack together with Special Operations Forces and the Unmanned Systems Forces, according to the source.

Residents of Slavyansk-on-Kuban reported hearing explosions in the town and said that a local factory was on fire, according to the Russian Telegram news channel Baza.

At least one refinery worker was killed, Baza and Russian news outlets claimed.

Russian media reported that the fire was most likely caused by a Ukrainian drone strike. Locals told the news channel Ostorozhno that a group of over five drones hit the facility.

In the past weeks, Ukrainian forces have launched a series of drone strikes aimed at damaging Russia's oil industry. Ukraine has hit oil refineries in Samara, Ryazan, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, and Leningrad oblasts.

How Russia’s alleged nuclear space weapon threatens to radically upend modern life:

Very little is known about Russia’s alleged satellite-killing and nuclear ambitions in space which sent some members of Congress into full-blown panic mode this week.

While Moscow isn’t thought to have a deployed capability yet, the US believes the Kremlin is dabbling with weaponry that experts say could fundamentally cripple the military and the American way of life.

“We’re talking trillions of dollars worth of economic damage in the worst case,” Dr. Rebecca Grant, president of IRIS Independent Research, which studies defense and aerospace, told The Post.

“Our economy is completely dependent on space for the navigation and precision timing signals that guide everything from your iPhone when you drive to your banking transaction,” she explained.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby confirmed Thursday that the uproar on Capitol Hill this week was indeed over an “anti-satellite capability that Russia is developing.”

But Kirby was tight-lipped about some key details of the weapon such as whether it was nuclear and underscored that it’s not a device that can be “used to attack human beings or cause physical destruction here on Earth.”

Still, the potential ramifications are considerable.

“Space and its capabilities enable our daily lives,” Kari Bingen, director of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told The Post.

“Everything from navigation and position information —whether in our cars or our cell phones using GPS— weather forecasting, even TV broadcasts, … the agricultural sector leverages GPS, shipping and transportation,” she added.

“It is integral to our daily lives, and much of that could be put at risk.” --->READ MORE HERE

How Russia would use space nukes to cripple the US — and the world:

What does the future of warfare look like? America got a glimpse way back on July 9, 1962, when t he United States fired a Douglas Thor missile well beyond the Kármán Line that marks the beginning of outer space.

Known as Starfish Prime, the 110,000-pound intercontinental ballistic missile carried a 1.4 megaton W-49 thermonuclear warhead that was detonated high over the Pacific Ocean.

That one bomb not only damaged Hawaiian electrical systems and equipment hundreds of miles away, it damaged or knocked out more than one-third of the world’s 24 orbiting satellites.

Today, six decades later, there are more than 5,500 known satellites orbiting the Earth. 3,500+ are American, 541+ Chinese and 172+ Russian.

And unlike then, these satellites are key to our modern society, carrying Internet signals, communications and global positioning systems.

Knocking out these satellites with a nuclear explosion would ground drones, cut off troops — even blind an entire nation to a first-strike attack.

It’s the Pearl Harbor of the 21st Century — a strategic move that changes the world.

Russia’s path to blinding America in space would come about in multiple if not interconnecting ways.

One would be the brute detonation of nuclear warheads in outer space using its vast array of ICBMs, including the Sarmat, Putin’s new super-heavy ICBM that can carry 10 or more nuclear warheads.

Another would be deployment of anti-satellite weapons, which, like nuclear weapons, would violate the 1967 Outer Space Treaty that Washington and Moscow signed.

Russian ASATs would take on a number of delivery forms, including aerial- and ground-based missiles and space-based lasers.

Regardless of which, the goal would remain the same: to turn off the eyes and ears of America.

The results could be devastating. Not only could battlefields in Ukraine begin to play out in Moscow’s favor, so too could any future movement of Russian troops in Eastern and Central Europe against NATO member states — particularly in the strategically significant Suwalki Gap that separates Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave from Belarus. --->READ MORE HERE

House Republicans Hold The Power To Stop Biden’s Federal Election Rigging:

President Biden’s use of taxpayer dollars to rig the 2024 election in Democrats’ favor is a whole new level of sinister — and only House Republicans possess the power to stop him.

Two months after taking office, Biden took the unprecedented step of ordering hundreds of federal agencies to interfere in state and local election administration. Under Executive Order 14019, all departments were required to use U.S. taxpayer money to boost voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities. The head of each department was directed to draft “a strategic plan” explaining how his or her agency intended to fulfill Biden’s edict.

Federal departments were also told to collaborate with so-called “nonpartisan third-party organizations” that have been “approved” by the administration to supply “voter registration services on agency premises.” Many of these groups are extremely left-wing, such as Demos and the ACLU.

The secrecy surrounding these “Bidenbucks” in the years since its enactment prompted House Republicans to seek further information about the directive and its implementation by federal agencies.

On March 29, 2022, for example, several GOP committee chairs sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Domestic Policy Council requesting a list of third-party organizations the administration is partnering with to register new voters, as well as the criteria for selecting such groups. They also demanded these entities provide copies of any “strategic plans” submitted by federal agencies to the White House, the statutory authority under which departments are authorized to conduct such activities, and cost estimates for carrying them out.

The OMB’s Shalanda Young responded to the requests later that year, claiming in a July 15 letter that Biden’s order fulfills the National Voter Registration Act. Young did not, however, address House Republicans’ other requests or provide copies of agencies’ “strategic plans.” The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and National Labor Relations Board also provided scant details about their compliance with Biden’s order in respective letters responding to a separate inquiry from House Republicans. --->READ MORE HERE

Here Are the Left-Wing Groups the White House Trade Office Is Scheming With to Get Out the Vote

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative intends to cooperate with a liberal legal organization that routinely sues over voter ID laws as part of its strategic plan to comply with President Joe Biden’s executive order to get out the vote.

USTR, an agency within the Executive Office of the President, included working with the Brennan Center for Justice, among other organizations, in the plan obtained by The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project through the Freedom of Information Act. The center, a legal advocacy group, is based at New York University.

The plan to implement Biden’s order on getting out the vote drafted by the trade representative’s office says:

USTR will develop annual social media posts on key dates that are important to voting engagement including: National Voter Registration Day (4th Tuesday in September); Election Day (1st Tuesday in November); 15th Amendment anniversary re: Black men suffrage (February 3rd); 19th Amendment Anniversary (August 18th); and National Voter Registration Act (May 20th).

In addition to featuring senior USTR officials, USTR will seek to partner with nonpartisan, public service and civic engagement organizations (e.g., Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Brennan Center for Justice) in developing and amplifying content for these online engagements.

Biden nominated lawyer Katherine Tai as his U.S. trade representative to lead the office as his principal trade adviser and negotiator; the Senate confirmed her in March 2021.

The USTR’s strategic plan describes the agency as “a component of the Executive Office of the President (EOP)” and “a Cabinet-level agency responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing trade negotiations with other countries in bilateral, plurilateral, and multilateral discussions and institutions.”

The plan crafted by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative also indicates its election-related activities will have a budget impact for the agency, but that it was undetermined as yet based on the “approximate timeframe for implementation.”

On its website, the Brennan Center lists multiple court cases opposing voter ID, advocating use of mail-in voting, and regarding the drawing of congressional and legislative districts.

The left-leaning organization also characterizes as “purges” efforts by states to update voter registration lists to do away with the names of dead voters, or those who moved to other jurisdictions. --->READ MORE HERE

Covid-19 Causes Global Life Expectancy Drop For First Time In 30 Years:

Global life expectancy decreased between 2019 to 2021 due to deaths from the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the results of a new study.

The research published in The Lancet featured updates from the Global Burden of Disease Study and showed that global average life expectancy declined by 1.6 years between 2019 and 2021. The study began in the 1990s and this is the first time that a decline in life expectancy has been documented as opposed to a steady overall rise.

“For adults worldwide, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a more profound impact than any event seen in half a century, including conflicts and natural disasters,” says co-first author Dr. Austin E. Schumacher, Acting Assistant Professor of Health Metrics Sciences at the University of Washington and one of the authors of the study.

The researchers estimated that 15.9 million people died from Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021 worldwide who would have been alive if it were not for the pandemic. 5.9 million of these were recorded in 2020 and just under 10 million in 2021.

However, the pandemic did not affect mortality equally all over the globe. Eighty countries had mortality rates in excess of 150 per 100,000 people, per year during one or more years of the pandemic, with the highest rates being Peru in 2020 (413 people per 100,000) and Bulgaria in 2021 (697.5 people per 100,000).

“Life expectancy declined in 84% of countries and territories during this pandemic, demonstrating the devastating potential impacts of novel pathogens,” said Schumacher. --->READ MORE HERE

Covid lowered life expectancy by 1.6 years worldwide: study:

Covid-19 caused the average life expectancy of people worldwide to fall by 1.6 years during the first two years of the pandemic, a more dramatic decline than previously thought, a major study said Tuesday.

This marked a sharp reversal during a decades-long rise in global life expectancy, according to hundreds of researchers sifting through data for the US-based Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).

"For adults worldwide, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a more profound impact than any event seen in half a century, including conflicts and natural disasters," said Austin Schumacher, an IHME researcher and lead author of the study published in The Lancet journal.

During 2020-2021, life expectancy declined in 84 percent of the 204 countries and territories analysed, "demonstrating the devastating potential impacts" of new viruses, he said in a statement.

The rate of death for people over 15 rose by 22 percent for men and 17 percent for women during this time, the researchers estimated.

Mexico City, Peru and Bolivia were some of the places were life expectancy fell the most.

But there was some good news in the updated estimates of the IHME's landmark Global Burden of Disease study. --->READ MORE HERE

Democrat senator thwarts GOP effort to pass bill detaining illegal immigrants charged with violent crime:

GOP Sen Joni Ernst tries to pass law requiring ICE to detain illegal immigrants charged with violent crimes

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, attempted to force a floor vote Wednesday on a law that would require illegal immigrants who commit violent crimes be detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the hope of preventing avoidable attacks and resulting deaths.

The Iowa Republican's unanimous consent request was thwarted by Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who objected to the request.

Ernst requested unanimous consent from her colleagues in order to advance Sarah's Law to the floor for a vote. During her speech, she pleaded with colleagues to pass her bill, recalling the death of Sarah Root and also referencing the recent death of Laken Riley, both allegedly at the hands of illegal immigrants.

The bill would require ICE to take into custody illegal immigrants who are arrested and charged with causing the death or serious injury of another. This was reiterated by Ernst during her speech: "It would merely require ICE to detain, just to detain, otherwise deportable illegal immigrants charged with killing or seriously injuring another person," she said.

Durbin said the bill would detain victims of trafficking or domestic abuse who were charged with crimes. According to him, the bill would "deprive immigrants of the due process that everyone is afforded."

The measure's namesake, Sarah Root, was a 21-year-old Iowa woman who was killed by a drunk driver who was in the country illegally. Dick Durbin Thwarts Bill to Automatically Detain Illegals Charged with Violent Crimes:

Dick Durbin Thwarts Bill to Automatically Detain Illegals Charged with Violent Crimes

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) torpedoed a Republican-sponsored bill on Wednesday that would automatically detain illegal aliens charged with violent crimes.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) had tried to force a floor vote on the bill, which would allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to detain any illegal charged with a violent crime in an effort to prevent liberal prosecutors from releasing them back into the population after arrest, giving them the chance to go out and commit other crimes, Fox News reported.

Ernst requested unanimous consent on Sarah’s Law, a policy that passes a bill without further debate or committee work. During her floor speech, the senator said victims such as Sarah Root and Laken Riley would not have been murdered by illegals if their alleged killers had been held in jail on earlier offenses.

Unanimous consent, though, can be scotched with a single nay vote. And Durbin supplied that no vote in service to illegal aliens.

“It would merely require ICE to detain, just to detain, otherwise deportable illegal immigrants charged with killing or seriously injuring another person,” Ernst explained. This, she added, would prevent the suspects from committing other crimes while their earlier case goes through the system.--->READ MORE HERE

NY POST: Bombs pummel Russia, as Ukrainians forced to vote for Putin at gunpoint:

“The situation is quite difficult both in the city and in Belgorod district. Naturally, the issue of safety is the most important for all of us,” Gladkov wrote in a post on Telegram. “It is clear that teachers, nannies and technical staff are all worried.”

Christians in the Crosshairs

The Left pretends to want to save Christians from themselves.

The left hates Christians, even the liberal, nonjudgmental ones in nondenominational megachurches with pastors in skinny jeans. But because this is an election year and their presumed candidate and his vice-presidential backup option are such pathetically weak choices, the panicked left cannot afford to alienate all those Christian deplorables and drive them toward the Republican candidate. So their strategy, as always, is to divide and conquer. Thus, the left is ramping up hysteria about a segment of the Christian population they are painting as a clear and present danger to “democracy” (i.e., Democrat hegemony): Christian nationalists.

As I have written elsewhere,

The label “Christian nationalism” is the new Progressive dog-whistle for “scary American patriots.” It signals to Progressives that Americans who love God and country – which used to be the norm before our descent into a post-Christian, post-patriotism culture – are a subversive danger to democracy. Christianity, after all, imposes a moral code that chafes Progressive libertines, and nationalism, with its emphasis on state sovereignty and secure borders, frustrates their globalist ambitions.

Whenever Christians wave the Stars and Stripes, wear a MAGA hat, or pray that God blesses our country, the Left hyperventilates over the specter of a fundamentalist theocracy on the rise. They envision America becoming a Handmaid’s Tale dystopia in which white male Christian mullahs hang homosexuals and imprison women for seeking abortions. The Left’s vision of the separation of church and state, therefore, is one in which Christian patriots and their values are best excluded from the halls of government power entirely.

The left believes if they can demonize a politicized segment of Christians as violent radicals by tarring them as being not real Christians – much like they insist that Islamic terrorists aren’t real Muslims – then they can isolate the Trump-supporting Christian nationalists from the “good” Christians.

As a prime example: on MSNBC last week, Politico reporter Heidi Przybyla said that the “base of the Republican Party has shifted” after former President Trump attracted a “more extremist element,” including “Christian nationalists.”

“The thing that unites them as Christian nationalists — not Christians, by the way, because Christian nationalist is very different — is that they believe that our rights as Americans, as all human beings, don’t come from any earthly authority. They don’t come from Congress, they don’t come from the Supreme Court. They come from God,” said Przybyla [emphasis added].

See what she did there? By stressing that the politically active Christians are “very different” from the “good” Christians who aren’t, Przybyla seems as if she actually respects and cares about the latter.

She went on to warn MSNBC’s hundreds of viewers about “an extremist element of conservative Christians” who advocate against Progressive sacraments such as abortion and gay marriage – because Trump-supporting Christians aren’t nearly half the country; they’re “extremists.”

The Family Research Council and Catholic Vote subsequently demanded an apology in a letter to Politico blasting Przybyla for “trying to demonize the Christian community” with her comment that only extremist “Christian nationalists” believe human rights “come from God”: --->READ MORE HERE

Over 140 House Democrats Demand Ability to Block Veterans from Purchasing Guns:

More than 140 House Democrats are demanding that the ability to bar veterans from gun purchases/ownership under certain circumstances be added back to the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act.

For decades, the VA has been reporting veterans to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) for mental issues, and such issues include using a fiduciary to manage one’s VA benefits. But this year, the Clinton-era gun ban was rolled back in the Senate by an amendment put forward by Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA).

House Democrats urge VA to find gun rider workaround

Rep. Mike Thompson led nearly 140 lawmakers on a letter urging Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough to minimize the fallout from a gun-related policy rider included in the fiscal 2024 spending law enacted this month.

The rider included in the six-bill spending package would bar the Department of Veterans Affairs from reporting veterans unable to manage their benefits to the Justice Department for a background check without approval from a judge. Only three Democrats in the House and Senate voted against the package, despite deep misgivings about the provision from some within the party.

“For decades, veterans who are a danger to themselves or others have had their information submitted to the background checks system to help keep them and our communities safe. The Kennedy Amendment ends this practice and would place troubled veterans and our communities at risk,” Thompson, D-Calif., said in a statement, referring to Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., who offered the amendment attaching the provision to an earlier Senate spending bill.

Thompson is chair of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. There are 138 signatories — all Democrats — on the March 13 letter to McDonough, which was obtained by CQ Roll Call.

The new law changes a VA policy in place by statute since 1993, under which the department would report veterans unable to manage their finances and benefits to the FBI. When the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System sees that an individual has been deemed “mentally incompetent” by the VA, they are barred from purchasing guns and ammunition.

Under the spending package, the VA can no longer report a veteran who needs a financial adviser appointed to manage their benefits to the FBI background check system, unless a judge deems the individual a danger to themselves or others. --->READ MORE HERE

NY POST: US seeks collection on up to $20B in delinquent COVID loans to small businesses, nonprofits:

US federal officials have begun holding small businesses and nonprofits accountable for the roughly 1 million delinquent government loans that were handed out during the pandemic — and which carry a face value of as much as $20 billion.

The Small Business Administration this week began referring neglected COVID disaster loans with balances of $100,000 or less to the Treasury Department for collection, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Another 10,000 delinquent COVID loans involving larger sums have already been sent to the Treasury.

Unlike private firms, the federal government doesn’t need permission from a court to start collecting on unpaid debts, The Journal reported.

In some cases, it can even seize government benefits and tax refunds. COVID loans of $200,000 or more carry a personal guarantee, which requires borrowers to use personal assets to satisfy their debts.

Small Business Administration sign on a stone wall at headquarters building entrance.

The COVID loan program — which was open from Jan. 1, 2022, thorough May 16 that same year — provided financing to nearly four million small businesses and nonprofits in need of monetary relief in order to recover from the pandemic’s financial impact on their operations.

However, the funds haven’t made their way back to the SBA, which said that already written off roughly 20% of its $390 billion in COVID disaster loans as a loss, according to The Journal.

Per the outlet, the charged-off figure includes Treasury referrals and other circumstances such as bankruptcy, fraud or the death of the borrower.

The SBA says that the sum is in line with its projections as some of the defaulted loans went to borrowers who never intended to repay their debts.

More than $136 billion of COVID disaster loans, or about one-third of the total, showed signs of potential fraud, the SBA’s Office of Inspector General told The Journal. --->READ MORE HERE

WSJ: U.S. Seeks to Collect on Up to $20 Billion in Delinquent Covid Loans:

SBA begins referring to the Treasury Department roughly a million loans extended to small businesses and nonprofits during pandemic

Time is running out for small businesses and nonprofits that took out roughly one million government loans during the pandemic.

The Small Business Administration this week began referring as much as $20 billion in delinquent Covid disaster loans with balances of $100,000 or less to the Treasury Department for collection. Another 10,000 delinquent Covid loans involving larger sums have already been sent to the Treasury.

The referrals highlight the continued challenges for the Covid loan program, which provided financing to nearly four million small businesses and nonprofits. The SBA says it has charged off roughly 20% of its $390 billion Covid disaster loan portfolio, an accounting figure that includes Treasury referrals and other circumstances such as bankruptcy, fraud or the death of the borrower.

Borrowers in default whose loans haven’t been sent to the Treasury Department can avoid the collection process by immediately requesting hardship assistance, according to the SBA. The SBA says the charge-off rate for the portfolio is in line with projections.

Some of the troubled loans went to borrowers who never intended to repay the debts. More than $136 billion of Covid disaster loans, or about one-third of the total, showed signs of potential fraud, according to the SBA’s Office of Inspector General. The SBA says it believes the amount of fraud is lower.

Other borrowers were in weak financial condition at the time they sought financing, are still struggling to recover from the pandemic, or have closed their doors. Some borrowers and advisers say poor communication, repeated changes in government policies and limited options for relief have created additional challenges.

“I’m talking to dozens of people every week who are dealing with the SBA’s struggle to service these things,” said Jason Milleisen, who advises distressed SBA borrowers and previously handled loan workouts for an SBA lender. “People are superconfused.” Borrowers often receive conflicting information from different SBA employees, he said.

Mitra Ryndak’s restaurant, Cafe Aroma in Winnetka, Ill., was evicted by her landlord a few months after she took out a $136,000 Covid loan in 2020. Ryndak said she used the money to pay back taxes and wages, repay loans from family and friends, and cover other expenses. The landlord began looking for another tenant after she fell behind on rent.

Ryndak said the agency allowed her to make reduced loan payments for two hardship periods, but rejected her request to settle the debt for less than the amount owed. She said she paid the SBA $2,500 from the sale of her restaurant equipment.

In February, she received an email notifying her that the loan was more than 100 days past due and could be sent to the Treasury unless she pays nearly $4,000 to bring the loan current and requests another hardship accommodation. “I walked out with nothing in my hands,” said Ryndak.

The SBA declined to comment on individual borrowers. The agency said it recognizes the challenges many small-business owners continue to face and has worked hard to provide them with payment flexibility and innovative forms of assistance.

The SBA initially allowed borrowers to defer loan payments for up to 12 months, then extended the deferral period twice, to a maximum of 30 months, though interest on the loans continued to accumulate during that time. It has also rolled out a series of hardship accommodations for borrowers experiencing short-term financial challenges.

Borrowers who qualify can make monthly payments of at least 10% of the amount due, or a minimum of $25, for up to two six-month periods. Borrowers seeking additional relief can temporarily make payments equal to 50% and then 75% of the amount due before resuming normal payments after another year. --->READ MORE HERE

Biden admin secretly flew in 320,000 'inadmissible' illegal migrants — admits operation creates 'vulnerabilities': Report

The Biden administration secretly flew 320,000 "inadmissible" illegal migrants into the United States last year, according to a Center for Immigration Studies Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, the nonprofit think tank's senior national security fellow, Todd Bensman, reported Monday.

The lawsuit revealed that Customs and Border Protection approved flights that brought hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants to 43 airports in the United States from January through December 2023. All of the individuals were preapproved on the CBP's cellphone app, CBP One.

Citizens of Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador are eligible to apply for travel authorization through the mobile app from their home countries. The Biden administration rolled out the CBP One app as part of its "lawful pathways" strategy, reportedly designed to reduce the number of migrants illegally coming across the southern border.

Migrants who apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release through the administration's app are then flown into the U.S. and placed on a parole program that grants them two years of legal status and work authorization eligibility.

The administration initially refused to disclose the number of the 43 U.S. airports that received the illegal migrants, citing a "law enforcement exception," according to Bensman's report. However, CIS' lawsuit revealed that the federal government is withholding the information over fears it could expose "vulnerabilities" caused by the program.

"The Biden administration's legally dubious program to fly inadmissible aliens over the border and directly to U.S. airports has allegedly created law enforcement vulnerabilities too grave to release publicly, lest 'bad actors' take advantage of them to inflict harm on public safety," the nonprofit stated. --->READ MORE HERE

Biden administration ADMITS flying 320,000 migrants secretly into the U.S. to reduce the number of crossings at the border has national security 'vulnerabilities':

Joe Biden's administration has admitted transporting migrants on secret flights into the U.S. and lawyers for its immigration agencies claim revealing the locations could create national security 'vulnerabilities'.

Customs and Border Protection has refused to disclose crucial information about a program last year arranging flights for thousands of undocumented immigrants from foreign airports directly to U.S. cities.

It means that while record numbers of migrants were flowing over the southern border last year, the Biden White House was also directly transporting them into the country.

Use of a cell phone app has allowed for the near undetected arrival by air of 320,000 aliens with no legal rights to enter the United States.

It comes after a controversy over a 2022 transportation program in which the administration used taxpayers money to move migrants throughout the country on overnight flights.

Included in details of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit first reported by Todd Bensman, the Center for Immigration Studies found Biden's CBP approved the latest secretive flights that transported hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from foreign countries into at least 43 different American airports from January through December 2023.

The program was part of Biden's expansion of the CBP One app, which kicked off at the start of last year.

Migrants were able, under Biden's expansion, to apply for asylum using the app from their home countries.

But the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) notes that the transportation of these migrants directly to the U.S. is one of the lesser known uses of the app.

Aliens who cannot legally enter the U.S. use CBP One to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports. ---> READ MORE HERE

Denver property owners are being asked to rent to migrants:

Property owners in Denver are being asked to rent their places out to migrants as the Colorado city shuts down four public-run shelters.

The Mile High City’s migrant services issued an email this week to property owners in the area seeking assistance in housing the city’s “newcomers” to get them out of shelters and into more stable housing.

“We put out a feeler to all the landlords we have connections with,” Jon Ewing from Denver Human Services told KDVR. “Basically said, listen, we’re going to have some newcomers who are going to need housing.”

The department’s email gauged the rental owners’ interest in opening their listings to the city’s migrants, but at a budget.

“We’ve got kind of a rent cap — $2,000,” Ewing added.

The emails come a week after Denver closed down four different shelters to save $60 million in what they labeled as “consolidation.”

“Denver today announced the consolidation of newcomer shelter operations from seven hotels to three by early April as part of the city’s strategy to move newcomers from shelter to stability,” the Denver Newcomer and Migrant Support website reads.

Denver was expected to pay nearly $180 million on the migrant crisis this year, but the savings announcement cut it down to $120 million, according to the Colorado Sun.

Venezuelans make up the vast majority of the over 40,000 migrants that have arrived in the Mile High City since 2023, according to the outlet.--->READ MORE HERE

Denver pleads with landlords to rent their properties to migrants after closing shelters costing $60 million:

Denver officials have asked landlords to rent to migrants who will need housing after the city shuts down several temporary hotel shelters as the number of new arrivals drops.

The city launched a program on Tuesday aimed at getting information from landlords on properties that rent for $2,000 per month or less, with officials emailing rental property owners asking if they would be interested in renting to migrants.

Democratic mayor Mike Johnston said last month the city would be closing four new migrant shelters, which would save up to $60 million from the $180million predicted cost of the crisis.

Johnston's decision comes as the number of migrants staying in shelters has dropped in the last weeks, after it reached a peak of 5,200 in mid-January, as reported by Denverite. The city is currently sheltering less than 2,000 people.

'We put out a feeler to all the landlords we have connections with,' city Human Services spokesman Jon Ewing told Fox 31. 'Basically said, listen, we’re going to have some newcomers who are going to need housing.'

Ewing added that the city has been able to get 1.3000 migrants work permits over the last weeks so they can earn money and pay for rent.

Last month Johnston announced he would slash $5 million from its Parks and Rec and DMV budgets as it faces a staggering $180 million bill to shelter migrants in 2024.

Denver received over 38,000 new migrants in just one year - mostly from Venezuela - with the city providing shelter for as many as 38,861 asylum seekers at a cost of $58 million so far. --->READ MORE HERE

Johnson Will Send Ukraine Aid Package to the Senate After all:

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has bowed to pressure from Senate Republicans and will send a Ukraine aid package to the Senate soon.

The aid bill will not resemble the $95 billion aid package the Senate passed in February. Instead, it will probably be in the form of loans or lend-lease structure to make it appear Ukraine would be paying it back.

Johnson unveiled the plan during a question-and-answer session at the annual Senate Republican retreat, which took place at the Library of Congress.

Johnson also spoke of including something similar to the REPO Act (Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity) for Ukraine, sponsored by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas). That legislation would authorize "the confiscation of Russian sovereign assets and deposit the proceeds of liquidated property into a Ukraine support fund," according to The Hill.

“I did get the sense that after the appropriations bills were taken care of that they would turn to that, and there have been a number of suggestions. One has to do with the forfeiture, basically, of $300 billion in Russian assets, which I think is a great idea,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).

“It would be justice to make the Russians to pay for Ukraine, pay the United States and allies for arming Ukraine,” he said. --->READ MORE HERE

Republicans Consider Seizing Russian Assets to Pay for Ukraine Aid:

Pressure is rising on House Speaker Mike Johnson to figure out a way to provide military aid to Ukraine and Israel.

Johnson told Politico’s Olivia Beavers Thursday that aid packages for Ukraine and Israel could emerge from the House in the coming weeks, either together or separately, following the completion of government funding bills due on March 22.

“I think it is a stand-alone, and I suspect it will need to be on suspension,” Johnson said, referring to a legislative process that would speed the floor vote while raising the requirement for passage to two-thirds – guaranteeing the need for significant Democratic support.

The Republican leader would certainly need help from Democrats, given the significant resistance to providing more aid to Ukraine among House conservatives.

The calendar, however, could make it difficult if not impossible to pass aid quickly. The House is currently scheduled to go on break immediately after the shutdown deadline, potentially pushing any foreign aid bills well into next month.

Ukraine supporters, including some Republicans, have warned against waiting until April. “Pushing it off past next Friday is reckless, and I’ve made that clear,” House Armed Services Chair Mike Rogers, a Republican from Alabama, said.

Rep. Adam Smith, the senior Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, said he doesn’t think there’s enough time to bring up a new bill, so the House should focus instead on the $95 billion aid package already passed by the Senate, which includes $60 billion for Ukraine as well as money for Israel and the Indo-Pacific region. “The choice that Mike Johnson faces at this point is binary: Give us a vote on the Senate bill, or abandon Ukraine,” he said. --->READ MORE HERE

On Long COVID Awareness Day, remember this: Long COVID is fake!:

COVID fanaticism birthed many disasters, from school closures to lockdowns to the apotheosis of Anthony Fauci — but none was so utterly mad as the idea of “long COVID,” a mysterious condition that dogged sufferers months after infection and was used to justify the endless continuance of every draconian rule.

Now a new Australian study shows the idea was always wrong — just in time for (God help us) International Long COVID Awareness Day.

Dr. John Gerrard, Queensland’s chief health officer, oversaw a study of 5,000-plus Australians with fatigue, cough and other symptoms associated with long COVID; these sick Aussies had taken COVID tests with both positive and negative results.

The study recorded their symptoms in spring 2022 and a year later. The result: Those who had tested positive for COVID did not experience long-term impairment at a higher rate than those who tested negative (or simply had the flu).

No such thing as ‘long COVID,’ health agency says in shocking claim: ‘Unnecessary fear’:

Follow the science — right out the door.

The term “long COVID” should be tossed aside like a stack of expired N95 masks — that’s according to health experts in one country, who found that symptoms of those reportedly suffering a year on weren’t any different than your typical virus, such as the flu.

Government-backed medical researchers in Australia say it’s time to stop using the fear-inducing phrase, which became popular after high volumes of people testing positive for COVID-19 led to a surge in generally non-severe “virus fatigue symptoms” that would normally have gone unnoticed, South West News Service reported.

“We believe it is time to stop using terms like ‘long COVID,’” said Dr. John Gerrard, Queensland’s chief health officer, who oversaw the newly released study.

“They wrongly imply there is something unique and exceptional about longer-term symptoms associated with this virus,” he explained.

“This terminology can cause unnecessary fear, and in some cases, hyper-vigilance to longer symptoms that can impede recovery,” Gerrard warned.

Researchers at Queensland Health surveyed 5,112 symptom sufferers age 18 and older to reach their conclusion.

Symptoms reported included fatigue, brain fog, cough, shortness of breath, change to smell and taste, dizziness, and rapid or irregular heartbeat. --->READ MORE HERE

Ex-Border Patrol Chief Says Biden, Harris Never Once Called Him:

The former head of U.S. Border Patrol under President Joe Biden told CBS he never spoke to the president or the administration’s “border czar,” Vice President Kamala Harris, about the crisis at the southern border.

“I’ve never had one conversation with the president or the vice president,” said Raul Ortiz in a sit-down interview with CBS’s flagship program, “60 Minutes.” “I was the chief of the Border Patrol, I commanded 21,000 people. That’s a problem.”

Ortiz answered “most definitely” when asked if the Biden administration was sending “mixed messages” to migrants who cross the border.

Andrew “Art” Arthur, a resident fellow in law and policy at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) told The Federalist “Chief Ortiz’s admission is troubling” on a “number of levels.”

“[Ortiz] spent more than 20 months as the chief of the Border Patrol during a period of unprecedented illegal migration including, most significantly, when Title 42 ended,” Arthur said. “How is it possible that the president never spoke to him about the effects that the termination of Title 42 could have?”

“More generally, Chief Ortiz served during a period that northern cities began feeling the effects of their own migrant crises,” Arthur added. “That neither President Biden nor Vice President Harris — the latter of whom had illegal migration in her portfolio — never spoke to the chief not only reveals a lack of concern about the national-security and humanitarian effects of the crisis at the border itself, but a lack of respect for those cities and their residents.” --->READ MORE HERE

Ex-Border Patrol chief slams Biden, Harris for never speaking to him and sending mixed messages:

The former head of the US Border Patrol said neither President Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped as the “border czar,” ever met with him during his tenure — as he accused the White House of sending mixed messages over the ongoing migrant crisis.

Raul Ortiz, who served as the US chief of the Border Patrol for two years before retiring last May, slammed leaders in Washington for playing politics over the border during an interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday, but he took special issue with Biden and Harris.

“I’ve never had one conversation with the president or vice president,” Ortiz revealed.

“I was the chief of the Border Patrol, I commanded 21,000 people. That’s a problem,” he said of the lack of communication with the commander-in-chief and border czar.

Ortiz was notably in charge during one of the volatile periods at the southern border, including the mass influx of border crossings leading up to the end of Title 42 and the migrant camp that formed under the Del Rio bridge consisting of 15,000 Haitians.

When asked by CBS’s Cecilia Vega if he believed the White House was sending mixed messages to migrants, Ortiz simply answered, “Yes, most definitely.”

The former Border Patrol chief said the US needed to be clear in its messaging to migrants trying to cross the US southern border.

“We need to make sure that Central America, South America, Mexico, that those regions understand that if you pay a smuggler and you cross in between the ports of entry and you do not have a legitimate claim to some sort of asylum benefit, you’re gonna be sent back,” Ortiz said. --->READ MORE HERE

Ukraine official: two Russian border regions are now active combat zones

A senior Ukrainian intelligence official said on Thursday that armed groups he described as Russians opposed to the Kremlin were pressing an incursion into Russian territory and had turned two border regions into "active combat zones".

But the governor of one of the Russian regions hit by the attacks said, after a visit to villages in an area, that hostile troops were no longer there.

Three Ukraine-based groups issued statements saying they were pursuing armed operations in Belgorod and Kursk regions and asking residents to evacuate localities for their own safety.

"Kursk and Belgorod regions are now an area of active combat actions. This is what we confirm," Andriy Yusov, a spokesperson for the GUR intelligence directorate, told national television.

"And as stated by the volunteers and rebels, we are talking about Russian citizens who, having no other options, are defending their civil right with arms against the Putin regime."

Vyachslav Gladkov, governor of Russia's Belgorod region, said in an account posted on Telegram that there were no Ukrainian forces in one of the areas that had come under attack.

"I can state that there are no Ukrainian troops on the territory of the region," he wrote in the account posted after midnight local time. "The fighting is taking place outside it."

But Gladkov said the village of Kozinka "was badly hit. The damage is very serious." Residents had been evacuated to places where they were now safe.

Gladkov earlier said that two people were killed and at least 20 injured in attacks by Ukrainian armed forces.

Russian military bloggers had earlier reported that Russian paratroops had been dispatched to Kozinka. Russia's Defence Ministry said it had foiled an attack by the Ukrainian army. --->READ MORE HERE

Russia says Ukraine has fired more missiles at a border region on the eve of election favoring Putin

Ukraine fired at least eight missiles at Russia’s Belgorod border region, killing two people and wounding 12, local officials said Thursday, as Kyiv’s forces apparently kept up efforts to rattle the Kremlin on the eve of Russia’s presidential election that is taking place amid a ruthless crackdown on dissent.

Also, Ukrainian forces attempted cross-border raids that were repelled in Belgorod and the Kursk region, according to local authorities. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed its troops killed 195 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed five tanks and four armored infantry vehicles, two days after saying it killed 234 Ukrainian troops in another border assault.

It is not possible to independently verify the Russian claims. Cross-border attacks in the area have occurred sporadically since the war began and have been the subject of claims and counterclaims, as well as disinformation and propaganda.

The Ukrainian assaults on Russian territory in recent days, including long-range drone attacks and alleged incursions by Ukraine-based Russian proxies, have come as Russian President Vladimir Putin heads for near-certain reelection.

Putin has sought to persuade Russians to keep him in power against a backdrop of what he says are foreign threats to the country and as the Ukraine war stretches into its third year.

In a video released Thursday, Putin called on Russians to go to the polls, calling participation in the election a “manifestation of patriotic feeling.”

Claiming that “the only source of power in our country is the people,” Putin told Russians, “you must not only cast your vote, but firmly declare your will and aspirations, your personal involvement in the further development of Russia.” --->READ MORE HERE

Investigation Reveals Gender, Abortion Services Masquerading as Health Centers in K-12 Schools:

A trend of installing “health centers” in K-12 public schools has led to students being offered disturbing services without parental knowledge or consent, an investigation by a leading parental rights group has found.

Progressive education activists claim that so-called school-based health centers and other “wrap-around services” improve academic performance and behavior by giving students daily access to mental and health services on campus.

This sounds good in theory—especially with a proposed staff of nurses, doctors, and psychologists ready to aid students in need—a lack of guardrails and associations with politically motivated organizations severely compromise the sales pitch for school-based health centers, or SBHCs.

Parents Defending Education, the parental rights group, looked closely at these school-based health centers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and affiliated groups claim that SBHCs, often established in “low-income communities,” improve academics and behavior.

But studies done in 2020 and 2023 found that giving students an on-campus clinic and psychologist had “no statistically significant” effect on students’ academic performance. The 2023 study from Pediatric Research, the official publication of the American Pediatric Society and two related groups, found that students using SBHCs were more likely to be diagnosed with mental disorders such as gender dysphoria.

This hasn’t stopped political organizations such as Planned Parenthood, the American Federation of Teachers, Reproduction for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America), and the School-Based Health Alliance (an LGBTQ advocacy group) from pushing SBHCs as a health necessity while focusing on questionable services for minors.

The investigation by Parents Defending Education found that Illinois’ Evanston Township High School Health Center offered acupuncture, gynecologic care, “mental health services,” “reproductive services,” and testing for sexually transmitted diseases to students. --->READ MORE HERE

School-based healthcare centers on path to ‘eliminating parents’ rights’:

The Biden administration’s ramp-up of school-based health centers (SBHCs) is moving public education further toward government intrusion in the parent-child relationship.

That’s according to Michelle Cretella M.D., a general pediatrician, child advocate and spokesperson on issues of sexuality for the Catholic Medical Association.

“School-based health clinics are all about eliminating parent rights and they have been from their inception,” Cretella explained to The Lion in a telephone interview Monday.

“They have been all about birth control, abortion,” she said.

“’Hey, we’ve got a pregnant kid here, yeah, let’s refer her to Planned Parenthood – you know, the judicial bypass, etc.’,” Cretella described a typical situation whereby a school center that provides “reproductive care” might seek a judge’s order for a minor to have an abortion without parental knowledge or consent.

“And then as soon as gender ideology took hold everywhere, schools are transitioning kids socially, setting them up for medical transition, without parental knowledge,” the pediatrician continued. “That’s everywhere.”

School-based health centers were given a big boost in the Affordable Care Act – Obamacare – with the support of national teachers’ unions, which have justified the centers’ existence with claims of necessity for low-income children and suggestions of improved academic performance.

“By locating in school buildings, on campus and in other familiar locations, SBHCs improve access to necessary healthcare services, especially hard-to-reach and low-income students, who may otherwise forgo required care,” the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) writes in support of the centers. “SBHCs exist in all types of schools, with 81 percent located in traditional public schools.”

“Poor student health poses a significant barrier to learning and may contribute to lower grades, as well as higher absences and dropout rates,” the union adds.

In May, the Biden Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded nearly $25 million to expand SBHCs. The grants would serve the administration’s goal of achieving “equity” and provide a response to reports of a severe mental health crisis among American youth, especially in the wake of the teacher-union-supported government shutdowns of schools during the COVID pandemic. --->READ MORE HERE

Study of 99 million COVID-vaccinated people finds links to brain, heart problems:

In what stands as one of the most comprehensive vaccine safety studies across the globe, scientists have singled out unusual conditions that have surfaced after receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.

The study of 99 million vaccinated people in eight countries found a slight increase in heart inflammation cases following shots from Pfizer and Moderna, both mRNA vaccines.

Simultaneously, the AstraZeneca vaccine, which uses a different technology known as a viral vector, has been associated with a rare brain blood clot disorder.

The AstraZeneca vaccine has also been linked to a higher risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder that can sometimes lead to muscle weakness and, in rare instances, paralysis.

These findings are particularly significant against the backdrop of the 13.5 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered globally to date — an undertaking that has played a critical role in preserving lives during the pandemic.

The Global Vaccine Data Network’s exhaustive research, detailed in the scholarly journal Vaccine, provides expansive insight into the matter. The network’s publication, equipped with easy-to-navigate dashboards, transparently presents both its research methodology and the conclusions drawn for public examination.

The analysts involved in this study examined health data of 99 million individuals, primarily focused on 13 specific conditions considered to be of special interest for vaccine safety. --->READ MORE HERE

Suffering from heart, brain disorders? Global study links COVID-19 vaccines with 13 medical conditions:

The COVID-19 vaccines that emerged as a beacon of hope in the fight against the deadly virus during the pandemic are back in the news again following a new study that has linked the shots to rare brain, heart and blood disorders, Vaccine, a science journal, reported last week.

The journal reported that researchers from the Global Vaccine Data Network—a research arm of the World Health Organization—found that the COVID-19 vaccines aggravated 13 medical conditions that were considered “adverse events of special interest."

The study conducted on 99 million vaccinated people from eight countries: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, New Zealand and Scotland, reported that people who received certain types of mRNA vaccines were found to have a higher risk of myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle.

The Key Findings

Rare cases of myocarditis—inflammation of the heart—identified in the first, second and third doses of Pfizer-BioNTech’s and Moderna’s mRNA vaccines: The highest rate was observed after the second dose of Moderna vaccine (with 6.1 times compared to the expected rates), Forbes reported, citing the study.

Pericarditis (another heart condition): Up to 6.9 times increased risk of Pericarditis in individuals who received the third dose of AstraZeneca’s vaccine. The study reported 1.7 times and 2.6 times increased risks in recipients of Moderna’s first and fourth doses, respectively.

The study also reported a greater risk of developing a rare autoimmune disorder — Guillain-Barre syndrome – among those who took the AstraZeneca shots, and had 3.2 times the risk of getting blood clots.

Disseminated encephalomyelitis: The study also reported a 3.8 times greater risk of developing the neurological disorder acute disseminated encephalomyelitis after taking the Moderna vaccine, and a 2.2-fold increased risk after AstraZeneca’s vaccine.

However, the experts stressed that the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccination far outweigh the risks. They said the likelihood of neurological events or heart inflammation is significantly higher after COVID-19 infection rather than after receiving a COVID-19 shot.

“The odds of all of these adverse events is still much, much higher when infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), so getting vaccinated is still by far the safer choice," CEO of biotechnology company Centivax Jacob Glanville, who is not involved in the study, told Forbes. --->READ MORE HERE

Joe Biden’s White House Begins Referring to Illegal Aliens as ‘Newcomers’:

President Joe Biden’s White House has begun referring to border crossers and illegal aliens as “newcomers and “people who are in the country” — a terminology distinction that conflicts with federal immigration law.

On Thursday — while promoting a Senate bill to preserve his catch and release network at the United States-Mexico border — Biden’s White House made a passing reference to border crossers and illegal aliens, calling them “newcomers” to the U.S.

In a fact sheet distributed by the White House press office to advocate for the bipartisan border agreement President Biden has endorsed, officials pointed out that the bill includes $1.4 billion "for cities and states who are providing critical services to newcomers."

Russia awakes to biggest attack on Russian soil since World War II:

The biggest attack on Russian soil since the Second World War continues as waves of attack drones continue to fall on Russian oil refineries, military bases, and security services for a second straight day.

At least 60 drones were spotted over not less than seven Russian regions overnight on March 13, with at least seven more in a morning wave, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced.

A major oil refinery is ablaze in Ryazan, military bases were targeted in Voronezh, and an FSB building was damaged in Belgorod as multiple waves of drones continue to fall in regions across Russia.

A missile threat was also reported by the Governor of Kursk Oblast.

The waves of drones are a continuation of attacks on March 12 that saw Russia deal with at least 25 drones over nine regions that struck at least two oil facilities.

Russia claims to have “intercepted and destroyed” 58 of 60 attack drones in an overnight wave targeting the following regions:

Belgorod Oblast - 11 drones

The report does not mention Lipetsk Oblast, where a UAV was also reported flying at night.

Ukraine launches new wave of strikes against Russia’s oil facilities:

Ukraine and Russia traded attacks on each other’s territory Wednesday, including a second day of drone attacks against Russian oil facilities, which President Vladimir Putin called an attempt to disrupt presidential elections set for this weekend.

One of the Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in the Ryazan region, about 100 miles southeast of Moscow, causing a fire that was extinguished after a few hours, local governor Pavel Malkov said. A Ukrainian official with knowledge of intelligence operations, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, confirmed that the refinery was the target.

“We are systematically implementing a meticulously calculated strategy to reduce the economic potential of the Russian Federation,” the official said. “Our task is to deprive the enemy of resources and diminish the flow of oil money and fuel that Russia directly channels into war and the killing of our citizens.”

Russia’s Defense Ministry, however, maintained that it had shot down all 65 of the drones launched at six Russian regions overnight.

It was the second attack on Russian territory in two days, after Ukrainian forces launched drones Tuesday against nine Russian cities and towns — some far inside the country — including the oil facilities at Nizhny Novgorod, which caught fire.

The two days of attacks represent Kyiv’s most wide-ranging assault on Russian infrastructure since the war started, sending a message of Ukrainian resilience ahead of Russia’s elections, which are taking place from Friday to Sunday.

They also indicate Kyiv’s increased emphasis on striking deep into Russia proper, as Ukrainian forces struggle with shortages of shells and soldiers on the front line and Russian forces are escalating their offensive. --->READ MORE HERE

Hamas Says US Must Pressure Israel Into Ceasefire:

A senior Hamas official said Monday that the United States must pressure Israel into a deal to achieve a ceasefire in the war in Gaza.

"It is now in the hands of the Americans, if they are serious about achieving a cease-fire before Ramadan, to exercise enough pressure on the Israelis," NBC News quoted senior Hamas official Bassem Naim as saying. Mediators had hoped the two sides would reach a 40-day ceasefire by Ramadan, which begins on Sunday.

Naim also told Reuters that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu "doesn't want to reach an agreement and the ball now is in the Americans' court."

Reuters also quoted an unnamed Hamas official who said the terror group's delegation would remain in Cairo, where negotiations are taking place for another day in hopes of reaching a deal.

An unnamed Israeli official told Reuters that "Israel is making every effort to reach an agreement" and "awaiting a response from Hamas." --->READ MORE HERE

The Greatest Trick Evil Has Ever Done Is Convince the World That It Is a Victim:

In the first days after October 7, I wrote multiple articles predicting that the world would rapidly forget the depraved horrors of that day and replace them with images of Hamas as victims who should be pitied. I encouraged everyone to never forget the atrocities that were committed by Hamas, atrocities that they videotaped with pride: the raping and dismemberment of women, the beheadings of babies, the beheading of a man with a garden hoe, the many murders and kidnappings. I reminded readers that while the world would probably start talking about all the Gazans who hate Hamas and are victims, Hamas was repeatedly elected as the leadership of Gaza by over 90% in every election since 2005, and the streets of Gaza were filled with tens of thousands of Gazans dancing on October 7. Gazans who were supposedly "not supportive of Hamas" were publicly celebrating the horrors of Hamas.

I made a detailed case of why we must view Hamas as a modern incarnation of Amalek, whom we are commanded to destroy completely. I begged that each one of us not get lost in anger or vengeance. I wrote that we must utterly destroy Hamas, but that we should never take joy in that task, lest we lose our own humanity.

I received countless emails and phone calls after that email. Most told me that I was too kind, that we should never mourn any of the Gazans we need to kill, and that we should carpet bomb all of Gaza quickly. People were enraged and wanted vengeance, and I had long talks encouraging them not to get lost in a quest for vengeance. There were even some people who walked out of our synagogue’s services because I preached that we cannot allow ourselves to feel joy in what must be done to Hamas.

But that was five months ago.

Now, we have had five months of the world media bombarding us about the "victims of Gaza," the need for more aid to those "poor victims," and how abusive the IDF is for going into the residential areas of cities in Gaza. We are hearing repeated calls, including from Jews, that we should just stop the war before Ramadan out of respect for their holiday, despite the facts that they attacked on a Jewish holiday and that Ramadan is actually an Islamic holiday of war. We are being told from all sides that Israel is to blame and that Hamas and the people of Gaza just want peace. The world, United Nations, and even the U.S. are, as I predicted, focused on the "victims" of Gaza, not the horrors that they committed and have vowed to commit again. The world is blaming Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Jews everywhere for Hamas false-flag operations such as bombing hospitals, stopping humanitarian aid, and killing civilians rather than looking at the evidence that it is Hamas that actually does these things to their own people. More and more, the conversations I have with people are about "the day after," the "victims" in Gaza, the "evils" of Netanyahu (who wants to "continue the war in Gaza just so he can stay in power"), and how Israel's response to Oct. 7 has been too severe. I am repeatedly told people's opinions about how Israel must stop its originally stated mission and do whatever is necessary to get the hostages back (even agree to a permanent truce). If Netanyahu agrees to all that, these people say, then we will have peace -- which is really all the people of Gaza want.

If the people living in Gaza wanted peace, Hamas would not have been elected into power for almost 25 years. If Hamas wanted peace, they would not have taken billions of dollars of aid and spent it making tunnels, rockets, and military facilities underground. They, instead, would have fed the people and created an infrastructure. If the people of Gaza wanted peace, they wouldn't have allowed Hamas to build those tunnels under their homes, schools, and hospitals -- and then protected those tunnel entrances. --->READ MORE HERE

‘Blood Money’: Chinese Government Documents Reveal Detailed Plan to Subvert American Culture Using Tech and Hollywood to Target American Children:

Chinese government documents and restricted military journals show how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is using social media like TikTok and Hollywood to target vulnerable young consumers and tear at the fabric of American culture, according to Peter Schweizer’s new book: Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans.

“The Chinese military and Communist Party officials have thought deeply and written extensively about waging ‘cognitive warfare’ on the United States. The CCP sees apps such as TikTok, video games, and movies as powerful weapons to wage psychological warfare against the West,” Schweizer writes. “…Unfortunately, they have found willing accomplices among some of the most powerful people in American politics and entertainment. Those national leaders continue to turn a blind eye to the challenge, refusing to acknowledge what Beijing is doing.”

Schweizer, a Breitbart News senior contributor and the President of the Government Accountability Institute, notes that “despite its links to the Chinese propaganda apparatus, TikTok has thrived with the help of American celebrities and thought leaders who are either ignorant or ambivalent about TikTok’s true nature.”

TikTok is run by the company ByteDance, which is “wedded to the Chinese Communist Party military-intelligence-industrial complex,” he writes. While the app has “penetrated the heart of America’s culture, becoming a central part of the lives of our children and young adults,” the Chinese government does not permit the app for its own population. Instead, the CCP harnesses the app’s addictive quality to target and shape the minds of young Americans for its own purposes, all while designating TikTok’s powerful algorithm as a top secret “national security asset.”

The first celebrity to promote TikTok was the late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon, according to Blood Money.

“There’s a really cool app I’ve been getting into lately called TikTok,” Fallon told millions of Americans watching his show. “Do you guys know that?”

“If you don’t have it, download it,” he instructed.

Schweizer continues, noting other celebrities who promoted the CCP-linked app:

What Fallon didn’t tell his audience was that he—not The Tonight Show itself—had forged a partnership with the Chinese company and created a series of TikTok “challenges” designed to grow interest in the app. The daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres soon followed with an equally glowing account on her show. The rapper Cardi B, for a large fee, posted some videos on TikTok—to no great effect, but it did lend her name to the platform. None of those celebrities seemed to weigh the gravity of being used to encourage Americans to download a potential Chinese spy app. How much money they were paid is not known.

“Celebrities weren’t alone. Major American institutions jumped in to work with TikTok. In 2019, for example, the NFL announced a multiyear content partnership with TikTok,” Schweizer adds. “One wonders what conversations were had besides ‘Show me the money!’ As we will see, politicians also lined up to use it.” --->READ MORE HERE

Disney Teams with China’s TikTok for Oscars Red Carpet Coverage:

Disney’s ABC is teaming up with the Chinese social media app TikTok for Oscars red carpet coverage on Sunday.

TikTok will sponsor a “first-of-its-kind red carpet live stream,” Disney announced, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This isn’t the first time TikTok has been involved with the Oscars. Two years ago, the Academy joined forces with the Chinese app to create online content for the 94th Oscars, including TikTok LIVEs, exclusive behind-the-scenes moments, red carpet coverage, and Oscars recap footage.

But this appears to be the first time the Walt Disney Company and TikTok are coming together on Oscar night.

The deal marks TikTok’s latest U.S. conquest as the Chinese app seeks to become culturally ubiquitous and swath itself in establishment prestige. WSJ: Where Did Covid Come From?

New documents bolster the theory that it not only escaped from a laboratory but was developed in one.

In the four years since the SARS-CoV-2 virus was unleashed on the world, data have steadily accumulated supporting the hypothesis that it emerged from a laboratory. The latest information, released last month, makes a formidable case that the virus is the product of laboratory synthesis, not of nature.

This startling fact will probably take some time to sink into the national consciousness, given the mainstream media’s sustained inability to report the issue objectively. Editors have failed to think beyond the extreme politicization that requires liberals to oppose the lab-leak hypothesis. Science journalists are too beholden to their sources to suspect that virologists would lie to them about the extent of their profession’s responsibility for a catastrophic pandemic.

Here are some salient facts that haven’t been clearly reported to readers of the mainstream press:

In March 2018 a team of American and Chinese virologists applied to the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, known as Darpa, seeking a $14 million grant to manipulate viruses related to SARS-CoV-1, the bat virus that caused a minor epidemic in 2002. Their goal was to identify bat viruses in Asia with the highest potential for jumping to people and to immunize bats so they wouldn’t infect soldiers in the region.

The proposal for Project DEFUSE specified that the viruses’ infectivity would be enhanced by inserting into them a genetic element known as a furin cleavage site. Depending on the starting viruses, this protocol could have produced SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, which has a distinctive furin cleavage site.

In 2022 three biologists, Valentin Bruttel, Alex Washburne and Antonius VanDongen, guessed that if SARS-CoV-2 had been generated in a lab by a standard method, it would have been assembled from six sections of lab-synthesized DNA with the help of a biological agent called BsmBI. On analyzing the virus’s structure, they found evidence for the seams between sections and other distinctive marks of the assembly process. --->READ MORE HERE

NY POST: Scientist claims ‘smoking gun’ evidence COVID-19 intentionally created by researchers in Chinese lab:

COVID-19 may have been created in a Chinese lab, a British professor told the UN Wednesday, with another expert claiming that evidence of the likelihood has reached “the level of a smoking gun.”

Richard H. Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, was quoted saying in a new Wall Street Journal article that the virus that killed millions around the world may actually have been manmade in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.

He cited evidence found in a 2018 document from the lab that talked of making such a virus.

“[The document] elevates the evidence provided by the genome sequence from the level of noteworthy to the level of a smoking gun,” Ebright said in the piece by former New York Times editor Nicholas Wade.

The papers from the lab cited by Ebright contained drafts and notes regarding a grant proposal called Project DEFUSE, which sought to test engineering bat coronaviruses in a way that would make them more easily transmissible to humans.

The proposal was ultimately rejected and denied funding by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, but Wade suggested that their work could have been carried out by researchers in Wuhan who had secured Chinese government funding.

“Viruses made according to the DEFUSE protocol could have been available by the time Covid-19 broke out, sometime between August and November 2019,” wrote Wade, a former science editor of the New York Times.

“This would account for the otherwise unexplained timing of the pandemic along with its place of origin.”

Along with the research notes, Wade claimed the specific genetic structure of the coronavirus that allowed it to infect humans served as another strong indication of “the virus’s laboratory birth.”

“Whereas most viruses require repeated tries to switch from an animal host to people, SARS-CoV-2 infected humans out of the box, as if it had been preadapted while growing in the humanized mice called for in the DEFUSE protocol,” Wade wrote. --->READ MORE HERE
