Now as to the strange vibes, I offer these three videos of a Chris Wallace, Mort Konracke, and Shepard Smith as evidence. These videos have popped up here and there on ROS I've put them all together HERE.
Then there's the Mitt Romney non-interview. It seems the Romney has decided not to bite at the chance to be profiled with 11 other potential 2012ers. Maybe it's a case of, Where have you been Fox? Here is a Man that endorsed over 3 times as many candidates as Palin, and had 4 TIMES as many winners. Yet, If you listen to Hannity, Greta, and O'Reilly, They haven't given him any credit. They would have you believe, that Palin did it all single-handedly.
Today, there is this. It appears that in what may be a bad attempt at offering an olive branch to Romney and his supporters, Fox Nation runs a bogus article that leads people to believe that Romney won a Harvard Poll among College graduates. The reality is, he didn't do any better or worse than anyone else.
So I ask you, WHAT'S UP with Fox? Could it be guilt pains?

I agree it seems strange that all this occurred after the elections.
I'm wondering if they are starting to realize that their relationship with Palin, doesn't sit well with many?
I think you're on to something Bos. Maybe they are realizing that not giving Romney credit for his achievements are hurting their candidates in the long run. They want to bring Romney into the fold and he ain't budging.

I almost believe Romney should make the rounds on other outlets FIRST and then go FOX.
I also think he wants/should hang back a little, to avoid being percieved as "the frontrunner" right now, due to his name recognition, fundraising, org and poll position. Why hang a target so early?
Fox News is only out for themselves and their interests. That would be their only new found interest in Romney
Hows this for a theory:
Romney wants to be the anti-Fox candidate. He knows that Palin, Gingrich, and Huckabee will take from each other when it comes to viewer support.
Romney not being part of this, will draw from the non-fox/neutral viewers support. Especially, with moderate Republicans and Independents that feel the Republican party, lead by Fox News and their employees, is moving to far right.
Another words, HE is the ALTERNATIVE candidate, as strange as that may sound.
It's about time that they took some heat!
Did anyone ever think that Romney's distant relationship with Fox, could be part of his strength?

Ann,
As always, excellent points. I can see how your theory could be the reasons behind Romney's actions.
A lot of people at Fox don’t appreciate Palin. Some don’t like her at all. That’s blatant.
And she was standing quite well against the GOP establishment, the Dems, and the LSM, long before some at Fox even tried to keep the coverage of her ‘fair and balanced’.
Ann,
That makes a lot of sense.
He owes Fox NOTHING.
I agree with Doug's comment:

I think that Romney wants to appeal to everyone, not just Fox people. By staying above or below the fray, he can remain neutral, and continue going on other shows and such. The Keith O thing brings into focus that while what he did was totally wrong (donating to candidates) why is it OK for the fox candidates to raise money and speak at partisan events? I think that law degree mitt romney has, told him that he needs to keep his distance. That way, he does not become beholden to anyone, but himself.
