For Rudy's sake, I hope Mitt Romney is the next President

It's obvious, That Rudy Giuliani may have a pre-existing condition when his medical insurer evaluates his potential as a client for medical insurance, but if Rudy had lived in Massachusetts, he wouldn't have to worry about that.

Today, I read an article in the Boston Herald where Giuliani was critical Of Romney's plan in Massachusetts. Now everyone has a right to an opinion, but Rudy seems to be suffering from the same demented view of Romney as the WSJ. Here he is the Boston Herald:
“There’s no question that Romneycare is a big mistake. And there’s no question that it’s the same as Obamacare,” Giuliani said in an exclusive video interview with the Herald yesterday after a keynote speech in the Dion Center at Rivier College.....
.....“I’m known for my candor. I find it impossible to skirt around the truth. I don’t like it, and I don’t think it’s helpful to voters,” Giuliani told the Herald. “(Both) have crushing mandates that impose taxes or fines on people if they don’t have health care.”
Unfortunately, Rudy took the LOW ROAD on this. Rather than comment on the Proposal that Romney put forth about repealing Obamacare, he decided to dwell on a state plan that has no affect on him or any other non-Massachusetts resident. Instead of taking the high road, he decided to help Obama by justify Obama's use of Romney's MADE FOR MASSACHUSETTS ONLY plan.

BTW, What was your plan in NY. And while you're at it, Do you have a plan to repeal Obamacare? ....chirp.....chirp!

It's to bad he hadn't followed the lead of these other well known Republicans:

Tim Pawlenty: I don't think I've taken a jab at them in the sense of criticizing them. I'm just saying the Massachusetts plan has succeeded in expanding access to people who are uninsured, but it has not succeeded in controlling costs. There's another, new story out there yesterday in the Boston Globe that Massachusetts has the most expensive and one of the most rapidly rising health care cost systems in the country.
I believe Governor Romney -- had he been Governor these last four years -- would have done something to address that or fix that.
He hasn't been there for 4 years, so I don't criticize him. I think it's a situation where I'm sure he would have done something differently had he been there. He hasn't been there for four years.
Here is Pawlenty again. Fast forward to the 1:40 minute mark:

Want some advise Mr. Mayor, next time you dress up, never where heels if you plan on joining the chorus line, It could prove to be hazardous to your health. But then again, you probably don't have to worry about paying your medical bills.

Bos, This is one of your best.

This would have gotten you banned by Pollman over at the old ROS.

As a prostate cancer survivor, Giuliani couldn't even get insurance in nearly every state except Massachusetts. I agree with your title, for Rudy's sake, he should have a president who actually did something about pre-existing conditions.

What a LOW BLOW!

What Rudy does in his private life is nobody's business but him and his partner.

Rudy exemplafies the philosophy of most Republicans. Eat Your Own!

Bosman, I was sorry to see Rudys go down this road. It's clear he is uninformed, and just following the crowd. The comment was entirely unnecessary, and served no purpose as far as I can tell.

Great post, BTW.

I think the shots of Rudy in drag distract from the overall message, which was otherwise a home run.

GetReal,

Wasn't one of Bosman's assumptions that Giuliani may have a pre-existing condition?

I agree with Martha, GREAT POST!

Bosman's tone matched Giuliani's

Rev, he DOES have a preexisting condition - prostate cancer.

I also agree that Bosman's tone wasn't far removed from Rudy's, but I didn't agree with Rudy's tone. I agreed with what Bosman was saying, I just thought the pictures were a bit much, but then, its not my post.

What's funny is this is the first time I've seen the pics of Rudy--I had only heard about them.

Maybe he wouldn't have been my second choice in '08 if I had seen them.

I can't believe that is Rudy Giuliani in woman's clothing. What was he thinkind?

He has a nerve criticizing anyone if dressing in woman's clothing is part of his lifestyle.

Hey, He's from New York City. What do you expect?

Look at the expression on Donald Trump's face in the first photo.

For the Donald to look shocked and disgusted, that's saying a lot.

He and Thompson were McCain shills in 08, Who's shill will Rudy be in 12?

Get Real,

If you think this was bad, wait and see what happens if Rudy jumps in. This stuff is mild.

If he wants to offend Romney and his supporters with a rant of CRAP, then it becomes a NO HOLD BARRED issue any ANYTHING goes!
