A pair of 19-year-old twin sisters were stabbed at a Brooklyn bodega early Sunday morning after rejecting their attacker’s advances — with one of the teens killed in the assault and the other hospitalized in stable condition.
Samyia Spain and her sister, Sanyia, were with a group of friends and relatives inside Slope Natural Plus on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope around 2:20 a.m. when the two were attacked, police and sources said.
According to relatives, the attack came after the suspect tried to hit on the two girls but was shot down.
“He walked in and started hitting on her,” Alphonso Goodson, the girls’ grandfather, told The Post. “She said, ‘I don’t want to be bothered with you. Leave me alone.’ Then the storeowner put him out.
“He started kicking on the door, he started banging on the door,” Goodson said. “I don’t know if they called the police, but at that time [the storeowner] should have called. And then when [the twins] left the store, that’s when he attacked them.
“He was waiting for them,” he added. “He took it the wrong way. He came after them. That was wrong. That was dead wrong. I hope they catch this guy.”
Samyia was stabbed in the chest and was later pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, while her sister was stabbed in the arm and was listed in stable condition at the hospital.
The twins had been with friends at a party earlier in the night, a woman who identified herself as the slain teen’s godmother told The Post.
“She was with her mother and sister,” the woman, who would only give her name as China, said Sunday. “It was a whole bunch of them. They had a game night.
“I don’t even know who he is,” she said of the attacker, who remains on the loose. “I’ve never seen him.” --->READ MORE HERE
A criminal justice activist is facing murder charges after cops found a dismembered body inside a Bronx apartment — with the accused killer caught on surveillance video disguised in a blond wig at the scene of the crime, according to witnesses and police.
Sheldon Johnson, a 48-year-old staffer for the public law firm Queens Defenders, was led out of the 44th Precinct stationhouse in handcuffs Thursday after police made the grisly discovery — a human torso in a blue bin and a head stashed in a freezer in the sixth-floor apartment, police said.
He was held without bail at his arraignment Thursday night.
Johnson, an ex-con who turned his life around and became a well-known victims’ advocate, was featured in Joe Rogan’s podcast and rubbed elbows with VIPs like Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
Sources said the victim in this week’s slaying, identified as 44-year-old Collin Small, may have had a beef with Johnson while both were doing time at Sing Sing prison in Westchester County.
Neighbors told cops the victim was heard desperately pleading with his killer shortly before two shots rang out in the apartment near Odgen Avenue and West 162nd Street shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, sources and neighbors said.
“Please don’t,” the doomed man was heard saying.
“I have a family!”
