New COVID trivia card game captures the madness of the coronavirus pandemic:
Citizen Outbreak, a new trivia card game, captures the frustrations, curiosities and shared human experiences of the COVID-19 years — everything from the divisive pronouncements of Dr. Anthony Fauci to the madness of murder hornets.
The card game is the brainchild of two boyhood friends, now in their 40s.
They reconnected during the dark months of pandemic shutdowns in group chats, Zoom calls and text threads with their lives otherwise put on hold.
"We were just all living through this together virtually, realizing we were going through some crazy times, not just us but people around the world," said Matthew Toboroff, 41, a New York City entrepreneur who created the game with buddy Rudy Gofman, 45, a N.J. real estate investor.
Added Toboroff, "I stepped back at one point and thought, ‘How is anybody going to remember all this stuff?’ Each moment was crazier than the next. ‘This is a game,’ I said to everyone."
Citizen Outbreak quickly grew out of these conversations. The co-creators are currently taking orders for the game through the Citizen Outbreak homepage. --->READ MORE HERE
Hochul’s still trying to milk COVID two years later. When will this lunacy end?
Democrats hate “wasting” a good crisis, but Gov. Kathy Hochul is taking it to new extremes by milking the 2020 pandemic: On Tuesday, she extended the state’s “disaster emergency” yet again, citing COVID.
When will this insanity end? The nation is into its third year since the outbreak, and it’s been 18 months since vaccines became available (Two weeks to flatten the curve? Ha!).
Hochul clearly seeks to cling to her added “temporary” powers by dragging out the “emergency” for as long as she can. The extension lets her continue to bypass the Legislature and modify or suspend certain laws — and pander to hysterics among the Democrats’ base.
Yet she offers no sound justification for the move, since every sane New Yorker realizes the “emergency” is long over. She notes “over 100” new COVID-19 hospital admissions a day, but New York has well over 100 hospitals — so that averages to less than one admission per hospital. How’s that an “emergency”? --->READ MORE HERE
