I just watched the interview...the first part anyway and I can honestly say that this might be the most comfortable I've seen Romney in a while. If he shows this man at the debates he could easily walk away with the nomination.

He is absolutely, 100% correct when he said, "this thing will not be over in a few contests..."

The media is really looking to create a belligerent fire storm. Over and over again they try to make Romney go negative and he resists. They push the bet over and over again. All I have to say is it would have been easy money for Romney.
In the past election cycles the left has tried to cast conservatives as the party of hate. Yet at the same time conservatives have been respectful and many liberal activists have been anything but civil. Romney would be a great contrast to the hate and may stand the best chance to bring both sides together and get our country back on track. We need a return to civil discourse on both sides.

JR, thanks for sharing at least something positive on romney, im sure it was your honest opinion of this interview, i thought the same as well. Your buddy RW would rather die before he has to admit anything positive for romney.

I like how romney points out that he is NOT in trouble, I think he would be very fine with losing and going back to his family, however his love for the country is why he is running for president and please dont let Gingrich be the one to run it.

Ian and Anon, it's not that I hate the man...I think he is probably a decent human being...a good husband, a good father/grandfather and an exceptionally well business man. I do, however, think he is also a political opportunist...that doesn't make him any less of the things I previous mentioned. Does he deserve to be competing for POTUS - YES. Do I think he will win - PROBABLY NOT. Would he make a better President than our current one - 100% YES!!!

What people don't realize is that I don't have a horse in this race...I will vote for the nominee.

Therefore I can be more objective and call it how I see it. To me there is not a perfect candidate running for the Republican nomination...in fact as I have stated numerous times...the majority of them do not deserve to even be on the ballot.

Both Romney and Gingrich have some strong characteristics that can make them appealing nominees...they both also have some major flaws.

I also don't think any of the current field of Presidential contenders can beat President Obama...I hope I'm wrong.

question JR, do you have a preference between romney vs newt and are you saying romney probably wont be the nominee or probably wont beat obama were he to be the nominee?

Anon, I don't really have a preference. Some days it's Newt...today it's Romney. I don't think Romney would beat Obama but to be fair...I don't think any of the candidates will.

The price of gas is coming down a little, The troops are leaving Iraq. Bin Laden was killed...as well as Khadaffi. Even the unemployment rate came down a little bit this past month. A president can control certain things and with a billion dollar war chest and the MSM on his side...I just don't think any of these candidates can beat him...like I said...I hope I'm wrong.
