The Family Leader Writes Off Cain, Paul And Romney

Via Politico:
The Family Leader — Iowa activist Bob Vander Plaats's social conservative advocacy group — says that it has cut its list of possible 2012 endorsees to four names: Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.

(...)
Each individual of the seven member voting Board of Directors expressed many positives of Representative Ron Paul and businessman Herman Cain. The stumbling block for the board regarding Representative Paul dealt primarily with “States’ Rights” as it pertains to the sanctity of human life and God’s design for marriage. Regarding Mr. Cain, the board cited a narrative of questions versus clarity on the key issues of life, marriage, foreign policy, and presidential readiness. The board did not give consideration to Governor Romney.

try and say this with a straight face, "Newt Gingrich will be our moral leader!"

Looks like the baby boomers aren't done destroying our nation.

Oh! so perry is being considered now coz he flip flopped on states rights for gay marriage. Amazing!

Perry mandated HPV on 12 yr old girls and he's in too. Wow!

Well of course they did not give consideration to Romney -- he's a Mormon. Vander Plaats is a bigot!

This board is lame and I think it's hypocrisy is laughable. Gingrich the serial adulterer with multiple wives should represent America's moral compass.....this is too funny.

I wonder if the board will revoke Gingrich's membership when Gloria Allred starts parading all of Gingrich's hookers and mistresses to the media.

What really gets me is that Gingrich was actually a serial adulterer and had many mistresses while married, but Cain gets vilified as a menace on just hearsay from 20 years ago.

It seems that all things Iowa are irrelevant and pointless.

What a bunch of hypocrites...really. kick out Romney, the ultimate family man and put Gingrich in the running. No need to pay anymore attention to these loons.

"kick out Romney, the ultimate family man and put Gingrich in the running." Both should be kicked out for different reasons. We do not need either one.

Alot of these evangelicals don't worship God. They worship the church.

This is a gift to Romney. He cannot afford to be associated with these bigots. I guarantee this is the way the campaign looks at it.

Did not even give consideration. *nods* You know what? I hope Mitt Romney crushes all the other candidates in Iowa. It's not enough now for him to be president without Bob Vander Plaats' help; I now want him to win Iowa without a single member of this "council"s help. I want him to win in spite of Vander Plaats' negative endorsement. I want Vander Plaats and the entire Family Leader group to sink into obscurity faster and more spectacularly than the Titanic; and I don't want a single survivor to be found.

*sighs* Okay. Felt good to get that off my chest.

These people are a joke. Gingrich the serial adulterer who leaves his first wife while she is cancer ridden and practically starves his two children by not paying any support until forced to, then leaves his second wife when she finds out she has MS is their 'family values' candidate...lol. This cracks me up. It's easy to see why Mitt Romney wasn't even considered by these bigots, and I doubt it was Herman Cain's lack of foreign policy experience or his stand on abortion that expcluded him. Bigots tend to be bigots across the board.

"Ohio Joe...Who is we?" We as a country do not need either one of them.
