Stick a Fork in Pawlenty

He's done. In the most recent poll from NBC/WSJ Pawlenty pulls a measly 2%, tied with Huntsman in last place. He is beat by Romney, Bachmann, Perry, Paul, Gingrich, Cain, and Santorum.

I know there will be arguments about such things as sample size, party ID, past success of this pollster, how far out this poll is...

I am going to go out on a limb and predict that Pawlenty will not come in first or second in any state.

This is another reason politics is often so illogical. Bachmann doing so much better than Pawlenty? You've gotta be kidding me.

Hamaca, I'm not as surprised by that as you are. TPaw is a dud. He was my Gov. for 8 years. There was about a two week period (right after his announcement) where I thought he might be on to something. Other than that, I never took his candidacy seriously. I was hoping he'd have a little more fight in him, but he just doesn't play well on the national stage.

RW, do you mean dud as a candidate or as a governor?

The narrative seems to be pretty firmly that he is done, and whether that is true or not, it will freeze the mother's milk of campaigns (donations). (I know. That's an awkward metaphor.)

How big would he have to win Ames AND the Ames debate to break that loose? They have to probably both be home runs.
