Palin's appearance on Hannity (4-19-11 Video)

While Palin's answers to Hannity's persistent badgering about 2012 are sure to keep people guessing, I got the impression that she's leaning toward a run at this point. She indicated that "it's still too early to declare a candidacy," and that there is no one in the race that she could envision supporting. The next several weeks should be interesting.

RWN, I get it that it's passover and all, but many jewish folks take offense to Palin wearing the BIG star of David. What's that all about, since you seem to be the insider.

I'm not an insider.

Her Jewish supporters aren't offended.

Who, specifically, is offended?

Why are they offended?

Good spot - nothing earth shaking pro or con.

Interesting that she cites "executive" and "private sector" experience as qualities she's looking for in a candidate.

I'm not suggesting anything..LOL

I welcome a Palin candidacy and hope she gets in.

Doug,

"Interesting that she cites "executive" and "private sector" experience as qualities she's looking for in a candidate."

HaHaHaHa!
I noticed the same thing.
Made me wonder if she had just finished reading Romney's resume.

Some of Palin's thoughts:

Donald is great.
Donald treated unfairly.
Don't give the time of day to the MSM, but Obama needs to be asked tough questions.

Charges capitulation in last budget deal. Shouldn't strike a deal with the losing party. GOP doesn't understand 2010 mandate. She DOES NOT HAVE an answer to what they should have done. Rattles off general statements about fighting. Be so committed! So committed!

On debt ceiling: oh they need to fight, and losing is not an option. We cannot afford to incur more debt? We need to fight so hard! We can't start giving in on budget deals or debt ceiling.

Again, NO ANSWER on either the budget or debt ceiling other than to fight.

Running is not even on her radar. (?) Too early for anyone. Focused on getting message out that we can't go down the road we are on. What road does she propose?

Extolls Trump again.
Will run unconventionally. No one yet appeals to her. She wants to keep hearing ideas, experience, record, private sector, etc. (Apparently, she has not been able to find time to do her homework on the candidates, either.)

liberal left is doing this on purpose to destroy country. Sure, Sarah.

Tell me again why I should give Palin any serious thought at all?

One trait which consistently bugs me about Palin, and she has spoken like this before, is when she discusses running and the other potential candidates.

I find it irritating, for someone to be setting the bar for others qualifications, considering her own short tenure in office and meager record of achievements. It reveals an oversized ego and level of self-importance out of line with reality.

Doug, You bring up a great point. Can she meet her own test? Ha ha. It has always bugged me when she implies that no one is qualified enough. Quite ironic.

Last night, the appropriate answer would have been to say something about how we have some great options and that all would be better than Obama. This is what Romney always says.

It bothers me to hear her say she has to learn more about the candidates. She ought to know as much or more as anyone on these blogs! She's supposed to be a leading figure, yet she pretends to know nothing? She can't force a kind word out of her mouth about them generally? Is she insecure, or what?

That problem she has with her left eye is a little troubling. She can't seem to get it open; it just sits there at half mast. Anyone know what would cause that?

I love how she infers that no one is qualified enough, when every other candidate is much more qualified than she will ever be. If she would just once engage in a real interview with anyone other than Fox, where she doesn't have access to the questions before the interview, I'm sure even her followers would turn on her. Hannity spoon fed the answers last night.

In regards to the left eye, it looks like a little too much Botox. It sure does make her look weirder.

Romney 2012!

And I ask why I should take Mr. Romney seriously, so we are even.

"I love how she infers that no one is qualified enough," She said nothing of the sort. The other candidates and qualified, but they lack judgement and they are not Conservative enough.

Noone should ever consider this unqualified, quitting, dumber than a bag of rocks mediawhore to run for president. Next thing we'll hear is that she divorced Todd Palin and is hooking up with Donald Trump for his money.

@OJ...Where have you been? Sarah is the only candidate who completely lacks judgement.....geez.

Romney 2012!

OJ, Only in your mind is Sarah more conservative than all the other candidates. I find it funny that shes now touting the least conservative of them all--The Donald! So hilarious.

Martha, Martha, Martha...

She was not touting the candidacy of Trump. She had been shown a clip of trump complimenting her prior to her comments. What is she supposed to do...blast him? What good would that do? She's smart enough to let Levin, Steyn, and other conservatives take him apart. She probably expects Trump-Mania to be short lived. The media would like nothing more than a Palin-Trump feud. To the credit of both of them, they didn't take the bait.

Lots of PDS on this site. Oh yeah - it’s a Romney site. I guess they have to attack the frontrunner.

RW, RW, RW . . .

I did not say she was touting the candidacy of Trump, I said she was touting him, and indeed she has.

Palin came down squarely on the side of the birthers by not calling him out directly, or dismissing the idea of birtherism. She gave him the green light.

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. We realize you must play to your base, but do you realize or care that you drag the whole party down with such thoughtless comments?

Romney dismissed the idea, as quickly and decisively as possible.

-Martha

@Bill589, exactly who do you think is the front runner. We all know Sarah's numbers are in the tank and slipping more each day, so you cant possibly talking about her.

Romney 2012!

Bill are you saying palin is the frontrunner? lol what poll did you get that from? I swear I dont know who's more dumb, sarah palin or her followers.

OhioJOE said...

"Palin came down squarely on the side of the birthers" No, Martha, she did not come down on either side of the issue, unlike both Mr. Trump and Mr. Romney who side with the extremists on both sides. Start telling the truth Martha, if you can think straight.

Yes, Anon, as ignorant as Mr. Romney is, he is not as dumb as the majority of his supporters.

OhioJOE said...

"Romney dismissed the idea, as quickly and decisively as possible." Yeah, as he failed to quickly dismiss the big spenders in the government. It show where his priorities are. He would not want to offend you and the Generalisimo, know would he?

OJ, Do you not pay attention to the lady?

When she was first asked about it months ago, she said it was a LEGIT QUESTION.

Most recently, she supported Trump in his quest on the birth issue. TWICE she said, sure, why not?

And no, Romney is not extreme in wanting to move on.

Romney failed to quickly dismiss the big spender? OJ, you are becoming more and more incoherent and dishonest.

-Martha

OhioJOE said...

"OJ, you are becoming more and more incoherent and dishonest." Hello, please point out where Mr. Romney denouced the budget deal which cut the budget by less than One Billion. Oh that's right. He did not even admit that the numbers given by the GOP were phoney.

"When she was first asked about it months ago, she said it was a LEGIT QUESTION." That not the same as taking a position on the issue like Mr. Romney did. He could have chosen to put that question aside (like he did the budget question.)

OhioJOE said...

"And no, Romney is not extreme in wanting to move on." Haha, he can explain that to the majority of the party along with his support for mandates.
