Memorial To Beck

I know, I know, I just wrote a blog about Beck's show ending on Fox. Please forgive me for devoting one more blog, in memorial, to Beck.

I thought that we could all enjoy a little music to celebrate this milestone.

I read a week or two ago that Beck was planning to leave Fox to buy his own cable network.

This isn't a surprise.

Dave,

"In other quarterly ratings news, the audience for Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck plummeted 30 percent in average viewership versus the first quarter of 2010.'

Add to that the fact that Beck's show bled advertisers. If Beck wants to commit financial suicide by buying a cable station that no one will want to watch and no advertisers will want to buy air time on, then I say to him, go for it.

I doubt he will buy a network. I suspect he will expand the paid content on his website.

I never really watch Beck.
Maybe 2 or 3 times at most. The few times I did watch him, I thought he was very high tense and hard to watch

He's too libertarian and conspiracy minded for my taste, so I haven't watched him very much. However, there is no denying that some of the relationships he has talked about have received far too little attention from most media outlets. I hope that Fox will be able to keep the "best of Glen Beck" by researching and exposing some of the REAL relationships and influences that politicians have. Voters deserve to know where their money is going, and especially to whom it is going.

I have no particular feelings about Beck one way or the other.

I think I've seen him on O'Reilly more than I've watched his show where he seemed more relaxed and layed back.

Perhaps if he had used his O'Reilly persona on his regular show, he would have been better off

He had to drop the show because he's running for president!

Just kidding.

His ratings still come close to Hannity's and Greta's on a regular basis....2.2 Million views/night I believe. They'll have a tough time finding anyone who will come close to filling his shoes in that time slot.

This reminds me of how excited some people were that Palin's 2nd book didn't sell as well as her first. Going Rogue likely sold over 3 million copies when it was all said and done, and if the reports are correct, her 2nd one likely went over a million. In the meantime, Mitt Romney sold about 270,000 copies of his book in 2010 (which isn't bad for a politician), and T-Paw sold less than 5000 in the first week.

RWN, I've never commented on anyone's book sales. It doesn't really matter if Beck's current numbers are near what Hannity or Greta's are. They aren't getting cancelled. And Beck is strongly trending down. I don't know how the others are trending.

GetReal, that would be totally awesome if Beck ran. He and Bachmann could try to out crazy each other. The only negative is how it would make my religion look.

I could take him or leave him. He's just another viewpoint on things.

And what is so crazy about Mrs. Bachman?

I'm hoping to see a post on Bill Mayer. There is a real nut case and piece of 5hit.

Yes, Bill Maher is complete sewer rat. But he doesn't have a following of millions of cultists. Further, I am not a democrat and have no chance of changing any minds in far left circles. Once upon a time I thought that maybe I could change some minds on the far right, but I have since come to the realization that I have as little chance with the far right as I do the far left.

Well I am late to the party, but this is a victory for the conservative movement. One small step in the right direction. It shows that there is a limit to craziness. It is possible to stop these people.

With Ryan issuing an adult plan for our deficit and Beck hitting the road, there is reason to be cheery if you are not a crazy.
