PPP Poll: Huckabee and Romney within the MOE with Obama in Pennsylvania

Republican presidential candidates have perennially contested Pennsylvania in recent years, and the results are usually close, but they have not succeeded in actually winning the state since 1988. President Obama defeated John McCain there by ten points. But while he currently leads all five possible contenders tested against him for 2012, including a native, two of them come significantly closer to making it the close battle it was in 2000 and 2004.

Obama bests Sarah Palin, 51-36; Newt Gingrich, 50-40; and former Senator Rick
Santorum, 48-40. But Mitt Romney lags only 42-46, and Mike Huckabee only 44-47.
Favorable/Unfavorable/Not sure:

Mitt Romney 34/38/28
Sarah Palin 34/59/7
Mike Huckabee 39/36/25
Newt Gingrich 29/53/17
Rick Santorum 38/44/19

Head-To-Head (Obama/Candidate/Undecided):

Mitt Romney 46/42/13 (-4)
Sarah Palin 51/36/13 (-15)
Mike Huckabee 47/44/9 (-3)
Newt Gingrich 50/40/10 (-10)
Rick Santorum 48/40/12 (-8)
PPP surveyed 547 Pennsylvania voters from January 3rd to 5th. The survey’s margin of error is +/-4.2%. Other factors, such as refusal to be interviewed and weighting, may introduce additional error that is more difficult to quantify.

Since Palin’s negatives were all written by the Left and the GOP establishment, and not based on fact, I’m sure a good dose of reality will fix that. I think two and a half years of intense, daily, negative media would have hurt any of the others too. We’ll never know that though.

Sarah Palin is toast and doesn't even know it...

She's too busy either complaining about the media, dissing the First Lady, or parroting Rush Limbaugh.

How is it possible Santorum has a LOWER "not sure" scale than Mitt or Huck? haha

It's looking like in the early polling that it's coming down to Mike and Mitt.

Sarah and Newt better renew their Fox contracts.

Guess Who?

OJ & Bill,

It's obviously a conspiracy. All the polling companies got together and polled only those who dislike Sarah.

I have a bridge you can buy also if interested?

Guess who?

Guess who, makes a good point.

Palin does LOUSY in ALL POLLS, when it comes to favorables.

She also has the fewest people who haven't made up their minds on her.

ALL BAD NEWS!

The more these polls come out, the more I can't see Palin running. It's obvious she sees the same numbers. She said she won't run if the numbers aren't there and I believe her.
