DC Survey: Romney bests Palin against Obama

The voters have a clear and dramatic message for the new Republicans in Congress and the President on the eve of his State of the Union Address: focus on jobs and the economy and show how America is going to be economically successful again.  This is not a nuanced poll.  If Democrats did not get the message in 2010, voters are ready to send a message again, according to the first Democracy Corps-Campaign for America’s Future survey of 2011.

The media pundits and Washington conventional wisdom say deficit reduction and cutting government spending are the top priorities for the nation; yet, the Republican Congress has prioritized health care repeal and Social Security cuts (which are on the table for the first time.)  They could not have it more wrong.  It is jobs, stupid.
Head-To-Head:
(Note: they on polled on Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin)

Barack Obama 48%
Mitt Romney 46% (-2)

Barack Obama 49%
Sarah Palin 39% (-10)
The survey was of 1,480 2008 voters (1001 weighted) conducted January 9-12, 2011. Margin of error: +/-2.5 percentage points unless otherwise noted.

Where the heck is Huck?

Hmmm.... Democracy Corps was founded in 1999 by James Carville.

Would he have an incentive showing Romney doing 8 points better than Palin?

In other words, is this notorious flaming liberal trying to prop up Mitt?

S&M,

If he was, he wouldn't stay in business to long now would he? BTW, Is PPP trying to prop up Huck? Or is it only when your candidate isn't in the lead?

We know who Carville doesn't want to face in the general.

MIKE HUCKABEE'S pretty much always in the lead if he's included.

Deal with it. : )

Oh, where's today's new TEXAS poll? Afraid to post it?

Has Romney gone from 32% to 10%? Ouch!!!

"Romney can beat Obama" Read the numbers, 46% is not enough to win when the other guy gets 48%

OJ,

I could have used the MOE and said Romney and Obama are tied!

Let's see, MOE +/- 2.5 % Palin down 10%.
SORRY, Can't say that for Palin.

Hey, I can play games too: Mr. Obama is stuck at 49% and cannot seem to get the magic 50 against Mrs. Palin.
