I agree with the top 6.
Even after there poll had Romney in a 3 way tie at the top.
ALL THINGS CONSIDERING, ABC still puts him in at NUMBER 1.

ABC is probably the fairest of the non-cable networks.
It's clear to them that just winning ONE POLL of theirs, doesn't put you in the #1 spot.
Organization and raising money is just as important.
I agree with their order as well.
I think that John Thune will do better than Mitch Daniels if both of them run. I'd rather see Mitch Daniels ahead, but John Thune can be "presidential" more easily and will shine in the debates.
Of this group, Sarah Palin is the top tier candidate least likely to run. With her family situation and everything else, she has little to gain and much to lose. I won't be surprised if she doesn't run.
Newt Gingrich will likely run because his ego forces him to take a shot. In some ways, I don't blame him. He's lived a public life for a long time and has been discussed as a possible candidate. He won't get another chance and may not want to go to his grave wondering "what if?" I can't see him doing all that well, and he'll bow out with a mixture of disappointment and relief.
Mike Huckabee is in a funny position. He seems to love doing his show on Fox and seems to enjoy the big money. The article is right that his pro-government positions make him less attractive to today's voters. He's young enough that he could be a candidate in 2016 if the GOP loses in 2012 and people still remember him in good light. He could also find himself in 2016 as someone who is no longer wanted by much of anyone.
With four of the six not as certain to be candidates or strong candidates, Tim Pawlenty will likely be the top challenger to Mitt Romney. He is friendly to religious conservatives, and while southern religious conservatives would rather support a fellow southerner, they might grasp at anyone other than a Mormon, a professor on his third wife, or a guy who talked about calling a truce on social issues.

"Organization and raising money is just as important." (as winning a poll)
Amen to that!
Great day today for Mitt!
