Hamas Searching Through Israeli-Occupied Gaza for Bodies of Slain Hostages as Trump Sets Deadline; Israel Will 'take action' if Hamas Fails to Return Hostage Remains, Israeli Official Tells 'Post'

Hamas searching through Israeli-occupied Gaza for bodies of slain hostages as Trump sets deadline
Hamas is now digging through the rubble in Israel-controlled sections of Gaza in search of the bodies of the 13 remaining hostages — as only hours remain to come up with results before President Trump’s deadline.
The terror group is working in tandem with Egyptian excavation teams across the Gaza Strip to try and locate the slain hostages, which include Israeli-Americans Omer Neutra, 21, and Itay Chen, 19.
The rush to find the bodies comes after Hamas failed to hand over any hostages in six days, endangering the US-brokered cease-fire deal and leading Trump to impose a 48-hour deadline on Saturday over the lack of results.
“Hamas is going to have to start returning the bodies of the deceased hostages, including two Americans, quickly, or the other Countries involved in this GREAT PEACE will take action,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The president suggested that the terrorists may be stalling in order to negotiate the terms of the peace deal, which calls on Hamas to give up their arms and cede its power over the Gaza Strip.
“Some of the bodies are hard to reach, but others they can return now and, for some reason, they are not. Perhaps it has to do with their disarming, but when I said, ‘Both sides would be treated fairly,’ that only applies if they comply with their obligations,” he wrote.
“Let’s see what they do over the next 48 hours. I am watching this very closely,” he added. --->READ MORE HERE

Israel will 'take action' if Hamas fails to return hostage remains, Israeli official tells 'Post'
In an unusual move, Israel allowed a Hamas representative to enter the Israeli-controlled area of the Gaza Strip to work with Egyptian representatives and the ICRC in locating the hostage remains.
For five days now, Hamas has not transferred the remains of Israeli hostages to Israel, and Israeli officials are making it clear that their patience is running out.
“We won’t wait forever,” a senior political source told The Jerusalem Post. “We want to see progress. President Trump gave Hamas a 48-hour ultimatum to make some kind of advancement on the issue of returning the bodies of the kidnapped victims—and we will take action if, in the end, Hamas fails to move forward on this matter.”
According to Israeli sources, Hamas could return most of the bodies immediately. “The terrorist organization is capable of returning a large number of the murdered hostages’ bodies without any difficulty,” an Israeli official told The Post.
“There may be some bodies that require an operation to retrieve them from underground, and there are others whose burial sites Hamas may not know—but the majority could be returned right now.”
In an unusual move, Israel allowed a representative of the terrorist organization to enter the Israeli-controlled area of the Gaza Strip to work with Egyptian representatives and members of the Red Cross in locating the bodies.
“It’s just one individual operating there, under full IDF control,” an Israeli official said, clarifying that Egypt sent only a symbolic delegation and a small number of tools to assist in the recovery. “There’s one excavator and two trucks for moving sand,” the official added --->READ MORE HERE
