According to the updated information, in the Kharkiv sector , the enemy attacked our troops' defenses five times near Lypky and Vovchansk. Two attacks were repelled, three are ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, 12 combat engagements took place near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Andriivka, Berestove and Kruhliakivka. Nine clashes were completed, three are still ongoing.

In the Liman sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Makiivka and Terny six times during the day. Our defenders repelled four attacks, two are ongoing.

In the Northern sector, Ukrainian troops repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Verkhnekamianske, Bilohorivka and Pereizne during combat engagements. Four firefights are currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, there were three battles near Chasovyi Yar, one of which is still ongoing.In the Toretsk sector, according to updated information, Russians attacked Ukrainian troops 14 times near Toretsk and New York. They were unsuccessful.

In the Pokrovsky sector, 39 attacks took place near the settlements since the beginning of the day, including Panteleimonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Mykolayivka, Novohrodivka, Novozhelanne, Skuchne, Ptycha. Defense forces repelled 27 attacks, 12 are still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day, August 15, 68 combat engagements took place on the frontline. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Toretsk and Pokrovsk directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, five firefights took place near Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk. Two battles were completed, three more are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted five offensives towards Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove. Three firefights are currently ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy assaulted the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Makiivka and Nevske. Ukrainian defense forces stopped all four attacks.

In the Siversk direction, six battles took place during the day. The Russian army was advancing toward Spirne, Pereizne, and Verkhniokamianske, where one battle is currently underway.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there were two firefights near Chasiv Yar, as a result of which the Russian troops were defeated.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army increased the number of attacks to 10. It attacked near Zalizne, New York and Toretsk. Eight attacks were repelled, two more are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian troops carried out 23 assault actions in the areas of Panteleimonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka and Skuchne. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and repelled 15 attacks, eight firefights are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Russian forces attacked seven times without success near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka.
