Russians try to advance on seven fronts – General Staff:

Over the past day, the Russians tried to advance on seven fronts, with a total of 83 combat clashes taking place.

Details: On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attacks near Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman front, the Defence Forces repelled six Russian attacks, who, with the support of aviation, tried to drive Ukrainian units from their positions near Terni, Vesele and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Bakhmut front, the Defence Forces repelled 10 Russian attacks near Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 Russian attacks east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Tonenke and Pervomaiske (Donetsk Oblast), where the Russians, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops.

On the Marinka front, the Defence Forces continue to hold back the Russians near Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast), where the Russians, supported by aviation, launched 13 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders. --->READ MORE HERE

97 combat engagements occur on front:

In the past 24 hours, Russian troops have launched four missile strikes and 104 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 101 times on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

On the night of December 6, 2023, Russian occupiers launched another air attack on Ukraine’s territory, having used 50 Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions. Ukraine’s air defense units intercepted 41 enemy combat drones.

Russian invaders launched air strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Kostobobriv; Sumy region’s Novodmytrivka; Kharkiv region’s Ivanivka; Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka; Donetsk region’s Spirne, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Oleksandropil, Urozhaine and Novomykhailivka; Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodarivka; Kherson region’s Tiahynka, Krynky and Lvove.

Russian artillery strikes affected over 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian invaders are maintaining military presence within the border areas, conducting sabotage activities and shelling border settlements from Russia’s territory.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight enemy attacks near the Kharkiv region’s Synkivka and the Luhansk region’s Novvoselivske.

In the Lyman direction, 26 Russian attacks were repelled near the Luhansk region’s Serebrianske forestry and Bilohorivka; Donetsk region’s Terny, Spirne, Vesele and Rozdolivka. --->READ MORE HERE
