After Kherson Success, Kyiv Vows to Keep Driving Out Russia; Ukraine’s Zelensky Says it is ‘hell’ in Donetsk as Battle Rages; Ukraine Has Liberated 179 Settlements Since Beginning of Week; Governor: Russians Mined 'nearly everything' in Kherson, LIVE UPDATES and MORE

After Kherson success, Kyiv vows to keep driving out Russia:
Ukraine’s president vowed to keep pushing Russian forces out of his country after they withdrew from Kherson, leaving behind devastation, hunger and booby traps in the southern Ukrainian city.
The Russian retreat from Kherson marked a triumphant milestone in Ukraine’s pushback against Moscow’s invasion almost nine months ago. Kherson residents hugged and kissed the arriving Ukrainian troops in rapturous scenes.
“We will see many more such greetings” of Ukrainian soldiers liberating Russian-held territory,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly video address Saturday.
He pledged to the people in Ukrainian cities and villages that are still under occupation: “We don’t forget anyone; we won’t leave anyone.”
Ukraine’s retaking of Kherson was a significant setback for the Kremlin and the latest in a series of battlefield embarrassments. As Ukrainian forces on Sunday consolidated their hold on Kherson, authorities contemplated the daunting task of clearing out explosive devices and restoring basic public services in the city. --->READ MORE HERE
Ukraine’s Zelensky says it is ‘hell’ in Donetsk as battle rages:
Ukrainian troops are going through “hell” in the Donetsk region from Russian forces putting up a stiff fight after abandoning Kherson last week, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
In a video address Saturday, Zelensky described the clashes in the eastern region of Donetsk since Russia abandoned the only regional capital it captured since the war began in February.
“There it is just hell — there are extremely fierce battles there every day,” Zelensky said. “But our units are defending bravely — they are withstanding the terrible pressure of the invaders, preserving our defence lines.”
Zelensky said before fleeing Kherson, Russian troops “destroyed all the critical infrastructure: communications, water, heat, electricity.”
According to the Ukrainian leader, Russians “everywhere have the same goal: to humiliate people as much as possible. But we will restore everything, believe me,” he said in the address. --->READ MORE HERE
