Magic Johnson tweeted out the photos of him posing for separate pictures with Garcetti, Breed, and California governor Gavin Newsom — all of whom were maskless:

Newsom, no stranger to violating his own Covid rules, told reporters that he only took the mask off for the picture. He was characteristically eloquent: “The rest of the time I wore it as we all should, um — not when I had a glass of water — and I encourage everybody else to do so. If you wonder where someone as graceless, charmless and tone-deaf as Kamala Harris could have come from, the answer is California politics where a rigged one-party state has freed Democrats from having to do anything except be puppets of a political machine.
Governor Newsom leads a particularly charmed life, having imposed ruthless measures that he never bothers living by, and then responding with the dumbest possible excuses, but Garcetti, who's being dispatched as ambassador to India, because Biden hates Modi, is making him hold his mask and his beer.

Johnson later tweeted a series of photos from the event featuring himself and a number of others in a luxury box overlooking the field. They included Garcetti, Breed and California Governor Gavin Newsom. None of them are wearing masks in the photos, despite a local public health officer order requiring attendees to wear masks at all times during so-called outdoor “mega events,” except when “actively eating or drinking.” Johnson is in a high risk group for Covid, given his HIV status and age. --->READ MORE HERE
