A member of the student government at Washington University (WU) in St. Louis, Missouri, was caught on video removing 2,977 American flags commemorating the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The student was caught on video as he stuffed them into trash bags.
A video posted Saturday by Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) shows a WU student government member removing Americans flags and stuffing them into trash bags. He was later identified by the independent student newspaper Student Life as Student Union Vice President of Finance Fadel Alkilani.
YAF says Alkilani removed 2,977 American flags that were placed on campus — one for each of the victims murdered 20 years ago by Islamic terrorists — as part of the conservative student organization’s “9/11: Never Forget Project” memorial.

Washington University student was caught on camera tossing thousands of American flags commemorating the lives lost in the Sept. 11 terror attacks in the garbage — calling the display a “political prop upholding American hegemony.”
Fadel Alkilani was seen stuffing blue garbage bags with the flags Saturday on the St. Louis, Missouri campus, before he’s confronted by another student who is filming him, college newspaper Student Life reported.
“[Alkilani] said that [the display] was in violation of school rules. He was also saying profanity,” said Nathaniel Hope, a member of the university’s College Republicans, told conservative youth organization Young America’s Foundation.
The College Republicans had placed the 2,977 flags on Mudd Field ahead of the 20th anniversary of the attacks. --->READ MORE HEREFollow links below to related stories:
