GOP Uncovers Massive Conflict of Interest in Lawyer Trying to Overturn Iowa House Election; GOP Chair Hammers Pelosi for Trying to Unseat Republican Rep By Changing Election Results

GOP Uncovers Massive Conflict of Interest in Lawyer Trying to Overturn Iowa House Election:
It’s March and we’re still talking about the 2020 election. Not about the fallout from it, mind you, but who actually got elected.
We’re not talking about you-know-who or anyone particularly powerful. In fact, GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, while more powerful than I’ll ever be, will still most likely be remembered as the answer to a trivia question.
Miller-Meeks won her seat in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District by just six votes in one of the closest — and most viciously contested — House elections in a year that had its share of them. Her victory was certified by the state of Iowa and she’s been seated in the 117th Congress.
Now, her opponent, Democrat Rita Hart, wants House Democrats to overturn the election results and expel Miller-Meeks from office — something I was informed quite recently, with all the brouhaha about you-know-who, was a Very Bad Thing. Her case hinges on 22 ballots that were uncounted for a variety of reasons, according to the Iowa City Press Citizen, including signatures in the wrong place, opened seals and machines that wouldn’t accept them. If those ballots are counted, Hart says, she’d win. --->READ MORE HERE
GOP Chair Hammers Pelosi for Trying to Unseat Republican Rep By Changing Election Results:

The Des Moines Register reported Wednesday that Miller-Meeks won the closest election in U.S. history since 1974, edging out Democratic contender Rita Hart by just six votes.
The final tally in Iowa’s 2nd congressional district came following a recount, after which the bipartisan Iowa State Canvassing Board then certified Miller-Meeks as the winner in late November.
Rather than challenge the result in state court, Hart went to the Democratically controlled House to seek to overturn the result.
The matter is currently before the Committee on House Administration, chaired by Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California. --->READ MORE HERE
