DHS: Young ILLEGALS Soaring at the Border; Border Protection Chief Warns About Dire Consequences of Biden's 'Open Borders' Message, and related stories

The number of young children being snuck across the border is rising, top Homeland Security officials said Monday, blaming a recent order by a federal judge for spurring some of the new wave.
Known in government-speak at Unaccompanied Alien Children or UACs, the children show up without parents, which under the law earns them more lenient treatment.
“The number of UACs arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border have nearly doubled in the past few weeks, reaching a daily average of more than 150,” said Mark Morgan, acting commissioner of CBP.
By contrast, in all of April just 712 UACs were encountered, he said.
Mr. Morgan said the children — and the smugglers who facilitate their journey — are responding to a decision by Judge Emmet G. Sullivan in Washington requiring UACs to be quickly processed and released amid the coronavirus pandemic. --->READ MORE HERE
Border Protection Chief Warns About Dire Consequences of Biden's 'Open Borders' Message:
Illegal immigration continued to increase through November largely due to smugglers fuelling perceptions that U.S. borders will be open under the presumptive incoming Biden administration, Customs and Border Protection announced Monday.
Around 70,000 enforcement actions, including more than 61,000 run-ins with single adults, occurred in November 2020, a 64 percent increase from November 2019, Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan said.
He said if the Biden administration does what it says it will, then the U.S. will experience a crisis at the border.
“The message you’re sending is clear and simple — we have open borders,” Morgan said. Smugglers are telling vulnerable migrants that the U.S. border will be open and that loopholes will return making it easier for them to illegally enter the U.S. to obtain free health care and other benefits. --->READ MORE HERE
