Trump Wants To Cut These Four Government Programs

President-elect Donald Trump has conservatives worried with him bullying Carrier to keep 1,000 jobs in Indiana, and rightfully so. However, conservatives can take solace in the fact that there are at least four government programs that the Trump administration is looking to privatize.
These four programs are, according McClatchy:
         - Medicare.
         - Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
         - Infrastructure.
         - Student loans.

Privatizing Medicare is a priority of Trump's nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA). Price helped Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) with his proposal to turn Medicare into a premium support system, where seniors would be given a voucher and pick their own insurance. Price has also proposed granting tax credits to people based on age to purchase their own health insurance.
There is no question that Medicare is in need of reform, according to Mark Levin's Plunder and Deceit, Medicare Part A–the part that "covers costs associated with stays at hospitals, hospices and nursing facilities"–is projected to be bankrupt by 2030. But as McClatchy notes, Trump has pledged to shield the program, stating: "You can’t get rid of Medicare. It'd be a horrible thing to get rid of. It actually works." If Price and the Republicans want Trump to reform Medicare, they may have to apply pressure on him to do so.
