Feds Investigating Chris Christie's Use Of Sandy Relief Funds.

Drip, drip, drip....

Bad just got worse for Chris Christie. He used $25 Million in Federal Superstorm Sandy relief funds to promote tourism in New Jersey. $4.7 million of that was used to produce a TV ad featuring Gov. Christie and his family.

This is a prime example of the arrogance of Chris Christie. On the surface, it looks really bad - regardless of the legality of it. Like 'bridgegate,' it's easy for everyone to understand. Unlike 'bridgegate,' he won't be able to claim ignorance.

...CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family....
....In the new probe, federal auditors will examine New Jersey's use of $25 million in Sandy relief funds for a marketing campaign to promote tourism at the Jersey Shore after Sandy decimated the state's coastline in late 2012, New Jersey Democratic Rep. Frank Pallone told CNN....
...Pallone wrote that he was concerned about the bidding process for the firm awarded the marketing plan; the winning firm is charging the state about $2 million more than the next lowest bidder. The winning $4.7 million bid featured Christie and his family in the advertisements while the losing $2.5 million proposal did not feature the Christies....

Well, those of us Right of Center alway knew that Mr. Christie was a fraud and a fool.

BTW, Mrs. Palin among others, never closed lanes for political purposes.

OJ, seriously, you need a real life. this one ain't working for you. In your wildest dreams, would you even consider that this is just a 'hit' so you far righties nominate someone like a Palin to run against Clinton? You know, I know and the demo's know that a Palin/Clinton race would be a slaughter and it would not be Clinton left in a pool of regrets, but the far rights, and that bimbo you put up.

This is also a reminder of Christie's embrace of Obama 1 week before the presidential election.

Wow, the RINOs are getting desperate today in their defense of Mr. Christie. Anyone who thinks that Mr. Christie is not hurt by all his antics needs a lot more than a life. Ya gotta love it.

No, Palin just closed down her governorship in the face of opposition.

So the Feds (Obama and the Democrats) are investigating Christie. Am I supposed to be surprised?

How many times did the socons here claim that Dems would help Christie until he got the nomination. Are these guys ever right about anything?

"Palin just closed down her governorship in the face of opposition."

No, woman died. While at least 2 people may have died due to Mr. Chistie's lane closiers.

"How many times did the socons" Ironically, even Mr. Christie himself is somewhat of a SoCon, even though he is a FiLib.

OJ, That was NOT the fault of Christie. BTW, one of the woman who died, her family said nothing would have saved her. Save your bullshit for Palin. She loves to spew it, and you eat it up.

Right Wingnut said...

Excuse me.....

What does Palin have to do with either of Christie's latest scandals? That's an interesting but ineffective diversion tactic.

Ohio JOE said...

"That was NOT the fault of Christie" BULLSHIT. He should have know better. Keeping traffic closed for 4 hour is anacceptable. Once again, you clowns failed to illustrate when Mrs. Palin or any other governor closed lanes in their state for political reason. Save your silly excuses for RINOs and low information voters, you are only digging yourself in deeper by defending such non sense.

"What does Palin have to do with either of Christie's latest scandals?" Ya gotta love how the anti-Palin forces have gone absolutely nuts and Bat-shit crazy.

I don't know about other states, but I can tell you, if my liberal Gov. Mark Dayton intentionally snarled traffic for 4 days to settle a political score, he would probably have to resign. That shit just doesn't happen around here.

"That shit just doesn't happen around here."

Which makes it even more amazing that the low information voters, RINOs and Christites are doubling down to claim that this non sense is acceptable.

Right Wingnut said...

I also don't think my liberal Gov. Mark Dayton would be STUPID enough to use federal disaster relief money to produce TV ads promoting him and his family. It's a level of arrogance that voters in most parts of the country can't wrap their heads around.

Right Wingnut said...

You can be rest assured, there will be no Rinos appearing on TV to defend Christie on this one.

Isn't this an old story, though? I thought I heard about this quite a long time ago. It didn't rise to much of a scandal. Maybe I'm wrong. The 'feds' are prone to doing Obama bidding, though. lol

But it doesn't surprise me Christie did it--in light of everything we know about him. All politicos suck, basically, except a few. Too bad for us.

You know what makes scandal this even more perplexing? He didn't need to do this! He was going to win in a landslide no matter what.

FAR RIGHTIES? You're kidding..right?

I was with Romney from DAY 1 in 08 & 12.

And Yes, FOR ME..this 'IS' about the Obama hugs and endless press conferences by Christie where NOT ONLY did he give updates on Sandy..but also HOW WONDERFULLY (the DEMOCRATIC NOMINEEE facing OUR REPUBLICAN NOMINEE) Obama was working to help out....ALL ONE WEEK BEFORE THE ELECTION>

I'll do ANYTHING NOW to make sure Christie is not our nominee.

BTW..I DON'T like Jindal, Bush 3, or Palin.. but I'd take any of those three over Christie any day of the week....if it came done to that....IT WON'T!

Shhhhh, welcome to the Right side of the party Bosman. Haha

SPEAKIING OF PALIN.. "I'm not even sure if she still lives in the state." -- Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK), in an interview TODAY, saying he has "no worry or fear" of Sarah Palin challenging him in the U.S. Senate race, adding, "I'm not sure she even knows what's going on."

Just for the record, I didn't bring up Palin, see the first post, thank you.

The IRS has carte blanche and is going to keep doing it to anyone it pleases. Nothing has changed, and no one seems to care much about it. Issa is fighting a losing battle.

I am not fond of Christie, but of course the feds still investigate. Obama and the dems are in charge, and they smell blood in the water over the bridge scandal. They also want to give the press something to chatter about other than their tremendous screw ups. Which the press is happy to oblige seeing as they see Christie and all repubs as the devil incarnate, corrupt to the core, whereas Obama and his people are merely incompetent, with all evidence to the contrary ignored. (Princess Bride's Inigo accent), "I do no(t) think being in charge means what you think it means--under this administration.

P.S. I just saw Joel's comment on the passing of his brother. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray you will find comfort and your family will be blessed.
