Romney: 'I think there’s a better way of getting rid of Obamacare'; UPDATE: VIDEO ADDED!

Game changer?

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke out Friday against Congressional Republicans’ strategy to defund Obamacare, holding that it is not “effective.”

“We’re more effective tactically not to use a shutdown of some kind to pursue the … anti-Obamacare objective,” Romney told CNN. “I don’t think that will be as effective.”....

He's exactly right, and merely saying what every Republican with half a brain knows. Good for him.

I realize there can be a difference of opinion, but we can't live in a fantasy world. Obama has the hand here because he is an arrogant SOB, and isn't facing another election. Unfortunately, this is all going to come back to bite us in the butt. It already has. Have you seen the news.

I hope I am wrong, and that things turn.

Mitt Romney? The guy that's an expert at winning against Obama? That Romney?

But you still haven't been critical of Lee. Why is that, Martha?

RomneyMan said...

Indeed, Martha, why the silence on Cruz, sorry, his partner in (your opinion) crime?

I also note you 'tactical ignore' of my request for this on another thread.

So (in your opinion) Cruz is an 8 months man, should not be doing what he is, etc etc etc

Lee's right in the mix with him.
But you plug Lee?

Now, I've been thinking and thinking and thinking and I can't quite work out this discrepancy lol

Martha says...."FYI Jason Chaffetz"...

Let's play a game.
*Guess* his religious affiliation if Martha has referenced him?

You have one go lol

The whole thing was Lee's idea in the first place. He recruited Cruz to be the frontman. Lee is smart as a whip too. The actually have similar backgrounds. It just so happens that Cruz is a much more effective communicator.

Mitt, the best way to defeat OCare would have been to hammer the hell out of him last fall, but i understand the difficulty of that considering the many similarities of OCare and what you did in MA.

More bitterness from the RINOs who cannot win elections. Mr. Cruz said it best, over the past 4 election cycles we are 0-3 running as RINOs and 1 and 0 running as the Tea Party. Conservatism works every time it is tried.

RomneyMan, First I don't like to respond to you because you are a non-factor here, IMO.

But I did respond to you on the other post. I wrote that I had mentioned Chaffetz in the past, NOT Lee. (you have your Mormons mixed up, lol.) Hence, my comment in this post as well, correcting your error. I've never said anything about Lee at all. Indeed I have no opinion of him, other than that he is Lee is every stinkin bit as wrong as Cruz for these tactics. Although I don't hear Lee attacking other people in Congress as Ted does. Maybe he does, I just have not seen it. They are in it together, although Ted is a much much more obnoxious grandstander than Lee from my view.

But my how you guys go on and on about nothing, drumming up all sorts of nonsense about me. ha ha.

I'm starting to feel more and more like Pablo every day. Right now, I would be almost happy to see people like Cruz, Rush, Palin & Levin, etc HAVE THEIR WAY.

Then, when the party is in utter ruin, & the democrats destroy everything in sight, maybe from these ruins we will build a strong, conservative, sensible party that might appeal to most Americans.

Now that Cruz and co. have made it impossible to win this particular fight, Boehner and all the 'RINO'S are going to get blamed. It's just outrageous. But their followers are just stupid enough to believe that Ted had nothing to do with it.

I guess that last paragraph was not clear. Let me explain. I think that Ted has shoved Boehner into an impossible no-win situation. And when things fall apart, and Republicans are blamed, it will be Boehner who takes the hit. Cruz and co created an absolute mess, and the rest of the GOP will have to try to salvage something. I don't know if they can.

What the freak? Few candidates offered were Mormons, so why do people think they see a pattern? Oh, excuse me, I said 'think.'

i never heard martha excited about harry reid, did you?

Right Wingnut said...

Anon,

I kid Martha about it a lot, but I don't think she ONLY supports Mormon candidates. That said, it just so happens that she criticizes Ted Cruz much more often than Harry Reid! Hmmmmm....

Right Wingnut said...

*much more often than she criticizes Harry Reid.

I realized my sentence didn't make sense after I hit the button.

RW, ha ha. Reid is one of the most despicable people on the planet, IMO.

It could be pointed out that

a) Romney excites the base more than Cruz

b) Romney is more of a conservative than Cruz

Harry Reid is a Democrat, in the event that you didn't know.

Okay btp- same talking points as ever.
