Mitt Romney to speak at CPAC 2013

Mitt Romney will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference this March, his first public speech since he conceded the 2012 presidential election last November.
“This is an opportunity for him to express his appreciation to supporters and friends,” a senior Romney aide said.
“The thousands gathered at CPAC this year are eager to hear from the former 2012 GOP presidential candidate at his first public appearance since the elections,” said American Conservative Union Chairman Al Cardenas in a statement. “We look forward to hearing Governor Romney’s comments on the current state of affairs in America and the world, and his perspective on the future of the conservative movement.”

Just what the GOP needs, more words of wisdom from a guy who just lost an election by 5 million votes that he should have won by that margin, if not double or triple it.

I wonder if he will finally take personal responsibility for his defeat, instead of blaming it on "gifts" and "victims".

Why Newark, do you think someone else could have done a better job against a majority of voters made up of of serial work phobics, public trough feeders. the media feeding kool-aid, and Santa Claus. Pray tell...Who would that have been?

No body say the true, is the country better off than 4 years ago or what are the American people had been in the last 4 years? the true was we the American people were poorer than 4 years ago and will be poorer in the next 4 years because Obama has no job policy and no economy policy at his second term, Mitt is the right man for the right job and the right leader for the right country but the American are so tire of being the world super power and prosperity, they need America become poor so we got poorer every day since Obama took office.

There's no doubt Mitt was the right person for the job.....maybe the one potential savior of the Republic with a chance of winning.

What he was up against was that the Dem advantage in cities is unprecedented and probably fatal to the Republic.

As recently as 1988, Dukakis carried almost 900 counties while losing 40 states. Obama carried less than 700 counties while winning 26 states.

Where Dems get elected, they get enormous majorities. These are small pockets, while Republicans carry the vast majority of the rest of the country.

Romney won 5 million more votes than Republicans running for Congressional seats, but while we won the House, Mitt lost the EC.

So we wind up with the most incompetent President since Buchanan.

I love it that CPAC will be bring back the LOSERS of their past. God bless CPAC!

Montana,

Why is that a surprise?

BRAIN DEAD American voters like yourself brought back the BIGGEST LOSER of this century.

Montana....who are the losers? How about yourself? One of the reasons Democrats win is that they stick together...where as the conservatives in the Republican party would happily knock a half dozen Democrats out of the way just to stab one of their own in the back...what winners out there actually helped Romney? Did Rush or Mark Levin? Or how about Ingrahamm or Erick Erickson or all the other self appointed leaders of the Tru Con movement? They did not do squat to help the man and that goes for a lot of the other people on the right whining about him today. If they want to know why he lost...they could start by having a heart to heart with the guy in the mirror.

Amen, Terrye.

The "11th Commandment" has been stomped on, shredded and set on fire. As far as I'm concerned, there are too many little Napoleons on the Right today. They're more interested in promoting themselves, gaining followers and restructuring Conservationism in their own image than any real effort at putting Conservative principles to work to save this country.
