Jindal Thinks if We Can Just Get Them to Stop Calling Us Names...

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Monday called on Republicans to “stop being the stupid party” and make a concerted effort to reach a broader swath of voters with an inclusive economic message that pre-empts efforts to caricature the GOP as the party of the rich. -Politico
“We’ve got to make sure that we are not the party of big business, big banks, big Wall Street bailouts, big corporate loopholes, big anything,” Jindal told POLITICO in a 45-minute telephone interview. “We cannot be, we must not be, the party that simply protects the rich so they get to keep their toys.”
Good work, there, Gov. Jindal. You've nailed it. We just need to get those lefties to stop calling us rich white guys and everything will be fine.

I liked Jindal for being an intelligent, articulate conservative, but wow. This just took him down several pegs for me in the respect department. He blames the GOP for every smear from the left. Somehow we're supposed to get them to stop calling us names and everything will be all right. Riiight.

Gov. Jindal also said, "We need to stop being simplistic, we need to trust the intelligence of the American people and we need to stop insulting the intelligence of the voters."

Umm, Romney only "dumbed down" his platform after the media and the left mocked his detailed, specific plans. I'll quote one blogger:

"Five points is much better than the 59-point plan that he offered during the primary season, because we can digest five points."

The whole "Believe in America" campaign was about trusting Americans to be smarter than the media and Hollywood give them credit for. Unfortunately, we discovered that when it comes to the economy, nobody knows what the H is going on.

If Jindal really believes the GOP just needs to package the message differently... Well, good luck, Bobby.

Calling on the GOP to be “the party of ideas, details and intelligent solutions,” the Louisianan urged the party to “stop reducing everything to mindless slogans, tag lines, 30-second ads that all begin to sound the same. “

Exactly, Governor. We should run our campaign more like Barack Obama with voter virginity campaign ads featuring YouTube stars, slogans like, "Four More Years," and "Forward."

Apparently, the opposite of what he's saying is true. "Believe in America" was just too many words for people to "digest."

Hope.

Change.

Forward.

This is the new America.

FYI,

Rand Paul is now calling for amnesty.....legal status, a path to citizenship, the whole nine yards. If it happens, the a republican party will never win another national election.

The GOP is collapsing in a cloud of blame and bad ideas. Will there be a GNP (Grand New Party)? And if so, what will it look like?

I really do not know what the solution is because everything is centered around messaging. Who controls the messaging medium? The Main stream media and Hollywood controls it. Did anyone notice how quickly and consistently the MSM picked up on Obama's messaging points. Hollywood TV shows were even promoting Obamacare in the fall. All late night comedians and SNL continually depicted Romney as an out of touch rich guy and Obama as Mr. Cool.

I honestly think the only way the American people will wake up to these facts is for something catastrophic to happen like the Great Depression ....and even then the MSm would blame it on Bush.

I did red where Network news ratings are down, which is a good thing. Perhaps as more people go to the Net for news, they may be exposed to other views.

The education system and colleges promote the liberal cause. I personally think corporations, alumni and private individuals, who believe in free markets and capitalism should stop donating to these liberal indoctrination centers.

I like Mr. Jindal's policies for the most part. He has been a great governor. However, he is almost as boring as Mr. Romney and Mr. Pawlenty. Mr. Jindal is one of the main reasons that Mr. Limbaugh turned on Mr. Romney. We need excitement and this guy is not it.

I like McConnell right now, who is giving the pubs some much needed backbone. Just offer the people illegally here an extended visa, coupled with finishing the fence, and new voter ID laws (federal). We need tough negotiators.

I really dislike all these republicans lining up for 2016. Perhaps if any of them had supported Romney wholeheartedly instead of constantly sniping, we would have won.

The one person, whose stature has grown is Rob Portman. He gave it his all & you don't hear him standing in line for 2016 (even if he might be considering it).

And guess what all you posers, none of you are half as good as Romney

Amen, JR!

Ditto JR! 2016 is all Christie was thinking about when he was hugging Obama!
