Drudge thinks Condi Rice has moved to the top of Romney's VP list

The story is HERE.

It makes sense that Romney would not choose a current/non-retiring Senator or Congressman. Not with the important votes coming up in a Romney Presidency. He'll need all of those current Congressmen/woman , Senators ....AND SOME.

If true, I'll bet that Rice shares that top spot with:

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell
Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty
Lousiana Governor Bobby Jindal

If I were a betting man and Condi has really surfaced at the top of Romney's list, I think Bob McDonnell is probably right there with her.

Only time will tell.

Not.Going.To.Happen.

This is just a distraction to change the subject from Bain.

C'mon, Bosman. You know better than that!

BTW,

If it is Condi, expect Mitt to announce it before his July 29 trip to Israel.

She would be great to hold the fort while Mitt tends to mending fences.

RWN,

I'm just the messenger.

Drudge is going out on a limb with this.

Could also be a leak by the Romney campaign to test the reaction to this possibility.

My money is on your second scenario. It's either a distraction or a trial balloon. It's not going over very well so far, so don't expect it to happen.

By the way...other than foreign policy and her pro-choice stance on abortion, what are her policy positions?

I am not loving this choice! I would much prefer Rubio.

I love Condi. I want her for VP. She wins the election for Mitt. Think about it.

Sorry. Condi woukf be a mistake. She will not pull over black voters..... they will stay with Obama. Condi is too closely associated with Bush. She also does not help Mitt message of being a business/ job creator.

Condi would also make Mitt look like he is playing the race/female card. Mitt's argument must be qualifications!!! No "Sarah Palin!-like candidates!!!

Rice sayz: ""What we're feeling most is not just that tumult, we've been through tumult before," she said. "What we're feeling is the absence of American leadership."

Vince Lombardi sayz: "Leadership rests not only upon ability but upon commitment and upon loyalty and upon pride and upon followers...Leadership is not just one quality, but rather a blend of many qualities; and while no one individual possesses all the needed talents to go into leadership, each man can develop a combination to make him a leader."

Lionhead sayz: ""Nothing beats the experience of a combat tested warrior. Men that can appreciate the decision to send men into battle to die. This is the man we need for Vice President, Colonel Allen West. He has the combination of many outstanding qualities combined with experience; the "Right Stuff""
