Portman is a complete dud on the campaign trail - no charisma, no energy, no charm whatsoever.

Biden would walk all over him in a VP debate.

Not to mention the fact that he is a career lawyer & legislator, just like Obama in 2008.

Portman has as much chance as I do of becoming Romney's running mate.

I would have agreed with you a month ago about his chances, Now, I'm not so sure.

And oh yeah, I forgot the real Achilles heel for Portman: he was a member of the Bush Administration, which is the last thing Romney wants to be connected with.

According to a recent Gallup poll, two-thirds of Americans think Bush is more to blame than Obama is for the nation's lousy economy.

~65% blame Bush the most for the lousy economy.

~50% blame Obama the most for the lousy economy.

~Nobody blames Romney the most for the lousy economy.

Romney wants to keep it that way by NOT selecting a VP with strong ties to Bush.
