The Dick* Santorum File: Did Tricky Ricky Tip Off SleazEbag John Ensign?

The Dick* Santorum File is a new feature to appear periodically to keep Right Speak readers informed on the untold stories and antics of and about the 2012 GOP Contender.
(* Don't get excited, it's just another nickname for Richard)

----------------------------------------------

Senate Sleazebags Stick Together No Matter What......

Researchers have uncovered this Politico article asserting Rick Sanotrum tipped of his Senate buddy John Ensign about the lid blowing off the former Nevada Senator's sex scandal. Seems Ensign was canoodling with another man's wife. Not exactly real family values behavior, now is it.

Seems current GOP Flaovor the mOnth St. Rick Santorum tipped of his cheating pal the husband of his concubine wanted go public with the affair. Ricky has remained tightlipped about spilling the beans.

Smarmy or Savory? You decide.

But maybe you want to hear from the Cuckhold husband in the affair first....

Editorial Note:

Anyone who uncovers stories about St. Rick's less than stellar activities or positions are welcome to break those stories under "The Dick* Santorum File" banner. You are all deputized in this effort.

In 2001, Santorum created a charitable foundation. This organization, Operation Good Neighbor Foundation, gave out nearly $474,000 to community groups in its first few years. Sounds great, right? The problem is that it had actually raised over a million dollars in that time. The remaining half million dollars was paid out to as salaries and consulting fees to lobbyists and fundraisers connected to Santorum’s campaign. Only 36% of the money raised by the foundation actually made it to those it was designed to help.

Similar discrepancies can be found in a political action committee formed by Santorum. It was supposed to be raising money to help fellow Republican candidates. However, only 18% of the funds went to those candidates. Much of the remaining money was used to furnish Santorum with a lavish lifestyle. Reports also show dozens of trips to fast food joints, supermarkets, Starbucks and other everyday expenses that had little to nothing to do with the original intent of the funds raised.

I got a split decision - Wrong in the main title; right in the subtitle.

Hey, I'm a serious Romney guy, but I would leave this one alone; plus the whole Dick* Santorum thing is not in good taste. Stick with information & facts that matters. Moreover, the response by Santorum's guy is reasonable.
Look, Romney is in very good shape. Here;s why:
Arizona is a winner-take-all state (29). Michigan allocates proportionally. Enough said, right. Romney will increase his lead, even if he comes in second in Michigan. Keep the faith, and stay positive. Santorum may by be a bit of a Scrotorum from time to time, but he not a Dick*.

Doug, it's always interesting to see the candidates get vetted. At first, you assume they're pretty decent and fine. Then you start to learn the truth about them.

If this is true, I just lost a little more respect for Santorum. And it makes his pro-family schtick a whole lot less believable.

Apparently, he's just another regular garden variety politician who has been in Washington too long.

"If this is true, I just lost a little more respect for Santorum." Yeah, until Dr. Paul becomes the new flavor of the month.

Ohio Joe...do you think that will happen? Really? I don't see Paul getting support from Limbaugh..but then again.

Ohio JOE said...

No, he won't get support from Mr. Limbaugh and while he'll get delegates here and there, he won't win the nomination. However, if he were to become the front-runner, you can be sure that Martha and companies won't thing that Mr. Santorum is quite the hellian that he is currently painted.

Santorum's defense of Newt's lobbying is purely because he also is a big-time lobbyist. Mitt needs to start pounding Santorum on his influence peddling, which has been substantial.

Santorum is the "True Conservative" in the race. In fact he's soooooo "conservative" that:

Rick Santorum joined Harry Reid and voted to let convicted felons vote. In 2002, Santorum voted “to secure the Federal voting rights of certain qualified persons who have served their sentences.” Santorum was one of only three Republican senators that voted for the measure which failed in the Senate. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), who sponsored the measure, on the purpose of his amendment said: “Basically what this amendment does is ensure that ex-felons, people who have fully served their sentences, have completed their probation, have completed their parole, should not be denied their right to vote.”

I'm sorry but that's almost as "conservative" as supporting a prison furlough program! In fact despite his disdain for former Massachusetts Governors, Rick is sounding more and more like a former Massachusetts Governor himself. (And I'm not talking about the one who filed before the state Mass. legislature on April 28, 2005, "An Act Reinstating Capital Punishment In The Commonwealth,"). No, it's a different one that he's resembling - Dukakis. And we all know how "conservative" he was.
