Redstate's Got It Wrong: Gingrich, Paul, Santorum, and Perry, should ALL do the right thing

Redstate's Erick Erickson penned a piece yesterday asking Rick Perry to drop out of the Presidential race and endorse Newt Gingrich for the nomination. What a terrible idea. I'd like to propose a Right Speak scenario.

With 99.9% of polls showing that Romney does best against Obama, especially in the swing states, I think that it would be a grand gesture for Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry all to bowed out of the race tonight at the CNN debate. And then FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY, throw all their weight politically and physically behind Mitt Romney.

What a spectacle it would be if Romney exited the stage tomorrow night siting on a sedan chair as his four new supporters carried him off the stage.

MAGNIFICENT......SUPERB.....What an EXIT!

So true! Just these past few days, there has been renewed interest in Gingrich. The last hope of the ABR crowd. Though, one question comes to mind:

Why would anyone think a bloated, fat guy, with his personal history load would command the respect of the non-republicans across the country?

That's a vision to which the ABR crowd has exclusive patented rights.

The ABR sees Obama as going after Romney in OWS style. That's pretty accurate. But wouldn't Obama go after Gingrich, if he's the nominee, for Newt's work at Freddie and Fannie?

Meanwhile, Gingrich has tried OWS style attacks on Romney with his King of Bain documentary, but those claims are already being refuted. For example, two men feature in the documentary are claiming they were tricked and adamant they were not talking about Romney and Bain. Instead, they claim to have gotten raises under Bain management.

The ABR's try to spin attacks on Mitt, but the truth always comes out. It's time all these ABR's recognize Mitt is the best candidate to go against Obama.

Jennifer Rubin made an interesting point, Gingrich has never won a state wide election. He was a Congressman...Rick Santorum won elections in Penn and Rick Perry won elections in Texas..a lot more people voted for them than ever voted for Gingrich.

And Erickson is full of crap.

I hope these candidates don't physically throw their weight at Mitt Romney. I'd rather Romney's bones remain as intact as they are right now.

Though, I agree, if ego and pride would get out of the way, we can start our campaign against Obama. But let's see how SC turns out on Saturday. If Newt does well, then we move on to FL, NV, and super Tuesday (Feb) and then it is all over by March. Otherwise, we move on to FL and it's all over by Super Tuesday (Feb). We've still got some weeks of hand wringing and debating to accomplish :-/
