Newt Gingrich gets PUT DOWN by Marco Rubio

Newt Gingrich's decision today to bash Mitt Romney for hiring former Charlie Crist loyalists and employees doesn't seem to be sitting well with Sen. Marco Rubio, who drove Crist out of the Republican Party before beating him at the polls in 2010.

Said Rubio: "Mitt Romney is no Charlie Crist. Romney is a conservative. and he was one of the first national Republican leaders to endorse me. He came to Florida, campaigned hard for me, and made a real difference in my race."

That could be the GOP ticket.

This was hardly a put down.

Also from the article...

Rubio's also a fan of Gingrich, incidentally. Gingrich helped Rubio promote his 100 Ideas for Florida's Future book and helped Rubio elevate his profile nationally when he was Florida House Speaker.

Not long ago, he said he still has a signed photo of Newt in his office, and that he's been an admirer since his days as Speaker.

Your search for a glimmer of hope for Mitt is proving to be futile.

I believe Newty was caught lying about his lobbying for Freddie;but knowing the GOP they will probably reward him with a badge of honor and an increase in poll numbers. Since We all know that the GOP has thrown out the values plank in their platform.

I would think it should be quite clear with this evidence that Newty was a lobbyist for Freddie.

Really? It sounds to me like he is saying that Gingrich is full of sh*t...

And you are right..some of us are holding onto that glimmer of hope that Republicans are not politically suicidal or deluded enough to nominate a crook like Gingrich.

*What a slap int da face!

Ha HA Ha.

By the way, take a look over Romney's shoulder. Who's picture on the cover of TIME magazine is that hanging on Marco's wall?

Romney pulls this out and wins Florida by 2-3 points.

Doug..well maybe some of this support for Newt is weak, after all 3 months ago half of the people shilling for him hated his guts and did not have a good word to say about him...talk about flip floppers.

Mine was a "sneer at death" prediction.

Didn't think Sat was going to go well but said Dam the torpedos anyway.

Florida's a different story.

But you can have your jollies.

BTW, do you keep all that data at your finger tips?

That's pretty weird.

Rubio likes both of them, therefore remaining neutral.

If Rubio likes BOTH of them for president, he has no discernment. I've had a leery feeling about him for some time. Being young, he's understandably protecting his future career. But he doesn't strike me as a stand-up guy. Hope time will prove me wrong.
