It's Time for Jim DeMint to step up to the plate and endorse Mitt Romney

Back in 2007, Jim DeMint headed Mitt Romney's exploratory Committee for President of the united states. In a letter of his endorsement, DeMint covered a lot of territory and The following paragraphs came out of his section on AMERICAN VALUES:
Governor Romney has exemplified the moral leadership that must be the hallmark of an American President. He knows that traditional values begin with doing the right thing; saying what you mean and meaning what you say; and keeping your promises....... (emphasis mine)
Here is a video collage of Demint's feelings towards Romney:

"Keeping your promises"...COMMITMENTS, sounds like Mitt Romney.

HISTORY PROVES that Newt Gingrich has a problem with promises and commitments. It is obvious to me that the DNC and liberal media are giving Newt Gingrich a pass on all his past discretions. THIS WILL NOT CONTINUE, if he is the nominee and WE ALL KNOW IT.

As a long time supporter of Senator DeMint and Mitt Romney, I know that deep down inside, it has to be hard for Senator DeMint to stay neutral in this Presidential race. It is also obvious that if somehow Newt Gingrich were to win the nomination, It would mean FOUR MORE YEARS of President Obama.

That's why I believe that Jim DeMint can no longer stay on the sidelines. America needs him to STEP UP TO THE PLATE and endorse Mitt Romney for President BEFORE the South Carolina primary day.

Here is Senator DeMint's video on FAMILY VALUES:

"The Fighting for social values and our culture is as important as fighting cutting spending and they're all related. I'll continue to be on the FRONT LINES of fighting for the value of life and the value of our government's supporting a healthy and moral culture." ~ Senator Jim DeMint

Id he doesn't endorse Romney before Saturday, he's a hypocrite, plain and simple.

He's the champion for family values? Then he needs to act like one.

I don't think he has the guts.

I completely agree. This is too important of an election to lose and the GOP will lose if Gingrich is the nominee.

I predict that DeMint doesn't have the cajones to endorse Mitt before the primary. If I'm wrong I will be happy to apologize to him.

If he doesn't endorse Mitt, then it really is the death knell of the Tea Party movement, for not having the huevos to do what's right when it matters most.

I don't know if he will win this or not..he might, but then again those same people who get off on him going after people on food stamps might have a problem with is ex...and that means they might go back to Santorum..and split the vote.

Newts not going to win SC. There is almost 48 hours before the polls close in SC.

A LOT can happen before that.

I used to think that if DeMint didn't endorse Mitt, then he is not as courageous as Haley and is reverse pandering to the teavanelical base.

His only out is if it's a joint strategic decision. As we have seen, the ABR crowd includes a lot of irrational folks. Anyone who endorses Mitt becomes a RINO in their view and is dismissed, cut off.

Perhaps it is considered that his could be a more influential role during the general election in getting out the vote among the same base who might otherwise be less inclined to vote or who might consider voting 3rd party.
