Heart-ache in RomneyVille

This photo pretty much sums up the night for the Romney camp.
Scene at Romney party in Columbia 35 min before polls close.

Oh RW, get your jollies out now because this is the end of the road for Newt and co. (Palin, Rush, Levin, etc.) It's nice to see their true natures revealed.

I bet that right now Sarah and Newt are celebrating...yes indeedy...the dingbat and the dirty old man..what a couple.

There are 47 primaries to go..I don't think that Gingrich can count on the bigots to win all of them for him.

I wonder if Newty is going to take Sarah to Tiffany's?

RW, I've finally concluded that you are a ringer. A Democrat plant. Man, you are tiresome.

Couldn't agree more with Anonymous above, Hannity, Levin, Palin, Limbaugh have all lost credibility with me. Also just heard that 1) Obama will bring up ethics/character if up against Gingrich, but knows that Romney is too squeaky clean to draw that distinction, and 2) that Evangelical leaders are going to try to raise money for Santorum because they know with Gingrich they cannot run on family values.

I thought this site was for conservatives to speak their mind. All this site is for are Romney kissing and Newt bashing. Apparently, if you love Romney, this is the place to be.

I come to this site because it is one of the VERY FEW conservative sites that DOESN'T bash Romney all the time. Many folks here do support Mitt, but plenty of other posters and commenters disagree. It's called freedom of speech, not freedom from disagreement.

It does need to be said that Romney did not expect to finish first here when he was drawing up plans for this race. He didn't expect to compete in Iowa either, and he tied there (or came in 2nd... doesn't matter - he and Santorum receives the same number of delegates as Romney.)

As it is, Romney is ahead of his game plan with Iowa. He just doesn't get to put it away right now.

Notice the teleprompter in the photo. Did Newt use a teleprompter? I think not.

4 years ago I was making calls for Huckabee into South Carolina. I was pretty darn disappointed when the results came in and he lost to McCain.

So I feel your pain Romney supporters. And offer my sympathies to you.

Maybe this loss will help Romney to rethink how he wants to connect with voters and help him to make the final sale as he heads into Florida and Super Tuesday.

I am still undecided. Some days I do lean towards certain candidates, but I have yet to make my decision. As our primary date has not been set yet, thanks to the TX redistricting fiasco, it may well be over before I get to vote.

But Romney does need to work on making that final sale to us undecideds.

LOL! South Carolina vote for someone who can't defend capitalism: the centerpiece of conservatism. If Newt is the nominee, Obama will just pull out the King of Bain documentary. Yeah, the same documentary that Michael Moore raved about. Newt will not be able to draw a distinction, because Obama will just say you, Newt, agree with me.

LOL! What a dumb spot Republicans put themselves in.

Newt didnt use a teleprompter, just the notes that he pulled out of his pocket and occasinally glanced down at.

Well I don't know but most gifted liars can run at the mouth for hours with ease. And he is a liar and a crook and unelectable..but then again I think that Sarah and the gang are fine with 4 more years of Obama.

Did Romney use a teleprompter? If you watched his speech, the answer is no.

Something else I noticed. There were a heck of a lot more people at Romney's party than at Gingrich's.

"There are 47 primaries to go..I don't think that Gingrich can count on the bigots to win all of them for him." Ah the old bigot card. Bigots did not cause Mr. Romney to be totally unprepared for last week's debate. Instead of crying about bigots, Mr. Romney needs to start brushing up on the issues before future debates.

"Did Romney use a teleprompter?" He might have to start using one for certain debates.

"I wonder if Newty is going to take Sarah to Tiffany's?" A better question would be "who is going to teach Mr. Romney how to debate.

Anonymous said...

Ohio Joe-more importantly, who is going to teach Newt Gingrich on how to tell the truth?

It's so tragic that we are looking for the most glib debater, not the most qualified man of character.

Ohio JOE said...

Both Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney do not know how to tell the full truth. Hey, give one of the you a pass if you want, but that is not going to solve anything. Both need to start being honest.

The picture defines my feelings today. Although, I agree that the Romney camp probably hoped they could win South Carolina, but I doubt they planned on it.

I don't feel like arguing about anything else today. Just wish you all a Happy Sabbath!
