Steve Deace Endorses Newt Gingrich

Influential talk radio host Steve Deace has endorsed Newt Gingrich for 2012.

Sadly, there are only two candidates offering a real means by which to actually undo that which the Left has done to this country for the past 50 years, and not just conservative platitudes. One of those candidates is Ron Paul, but his foreign policy is naive at best and reckless at worst. The other is Newt Gingrich, who has campaigned on what I believe is the most important issue facing us as a people—the loss of the rule of law.

The Left has used unelected judges and judicial oligarchy to reinvent the American way of life, from secularism to the loss of the sanctity of life, to the redefining of marriage, the confiscation of private property, and the granting of imaginary rights. There is an entire chapter of my new book devoted to the need for conservatives and Christians to confront judicial oligarchy once and for all. I have spent the past two years of my radio program educating my audience on this issue, and was a vocal proponent of Iowa’s historic judicial retention election last year, and Newt’s assistance with that effort was vital.

After offering every candidate in the race the chance to show they understand the gravity of this issue, Gingrich is the only one who has demonstrated he does, and can also use the bully pulpit of the presidency to educate Americans on the need to return to the rule of law.
I understand Newt has taken positions and done things in his personal life I do not agree with, but to his credit he has come on my radio program and been very transparent about those things, and has shown humility and a willingness to be transparent in the process.

I’m willing to take full responsibility for this decision, just as I hope those that have chosen to support other candidates who themselves have fatal flaws are willing to do the same. It is my hope the other Republican candidates will follow Gingrich’s bold leadership in providing the country a true alternative to President Obama.

It is my prayer that next year that for once we actually have something to vote for, and not just something to vote against. I am making this endorsement in the hopes that will be the case. Sometimes the most broken people are the ones God does the most tremendous work through. I know that has been true in my life.

Deace's serial hypocrisy is breathtaking. In the past Deace has pilloried Romney for the supposed flip flops, but here Deace is willing to turn a blind eye to the substantially, multitudinously, larger mountain of flip flops from Gingrich. Deace is a a SoCon above all else, but Newt's serial adultery means nothing to Deace. Gingrich's corruption in lobbying for Freddie Mac means nothing.

But what is really stunning here is Deace turning the rule of law on its head.

Newt Gingrich (has said that as) president he would ignore Supreme Court decisions that conflicted with his powers as commander in chief, and he would press for impeaching judges or even abolishing certain courts if he disagreed with their rulings.

Where in the Constitution is the power granted to the President to take such action? Such power isn't granted because the framers were trying to get away from living under a king. What Newt has proposed is a complete destruction of America's rule of law as granted by the US Constitution. Deace must yearn for the day when a king ruled the colonies, at least there weren't Mormons then.

Overall, though, I am pleased with this endorsement as it will further marginalize Deace. Newt is not going to win Iowa and Deace will be left to vote for Obama again next year.

What a total phony, hypocrite Steve Deace is. Mr. "nobody is conservative enough or Christian' enough for me, endorses the morally lacking Newt Gingrich...sheesh. This guy has absolutely no credibility at all. How does he even have a following anymore?

Deace will disappointed come Tuesday and after NH. Newt may do no better than third in either contest. The question is, will Deace actively work against Romney after Romney's nomination becomes inevitable? Deace's hate clouds his judgment.

What's that I hear?

The sound of Deace flushing himself down the toilet.

And not a moment too soon.

Mr. Gingrich might have good judicial policy, but he has shenanigans that give some of us pause to support him. He also makes a good point about Dr. Paul, it would be easier to support him if his foreign policy were a little less nutty.

Dan, the guys like Deace, (and let's just call them what they are - elitist bigots) - are washed up nobodies now, and I couldn't be happier.

Did you see that Don Wildmon is getting the gang back together for one final snarling push against Romney and for the wife-cheater?

This just TICKLES ME PINK that they went down defending the utterly indefensible Newt. It vindicates EVERYTHING I ever said about them.

Another one bites the dust! Love seeing the true colors I wish all the morons would expose themselves like this. ROMNEY 2012!

Martha,

I love it too that these bigots have gotten behind the sleeziest low life in the race, just to stop the devoted father and husband who is a good, clean man. They have totally exposed themselves.

It really surprises me that Deace didn't at least make a pretense of principled politics by endorsing Santorum. But, no, he went for the bottom feeder. Too funny.

OJ,

Deace, Vanderplatts, Wildmon, and a whole host of others on the religious right tried to pass off their distaste for Romney's Mormonism as concern about Romney on life, marriage, healthcare, flip-flops, etc. It was always as transparent as glass for me.

Now we see them lining up behind a morally corrupt man who has 100 times the flip-flops, and who is wholly unsuited for the presidency.

But they just can't stomach the Mormon, so they are swallowing Newt. Maybe they would like a big glass of milk to help wash him down! I feel for them, hee hee. It's tough have your hypocrisy hanging out there for all the world to see.

"It's tough have your hypocrisy hanging out there for all the world to see." Oh please, did it ever occur to you that if a Jew, a Catholic or even an evangelical support MAcare and the like, they would not get support either? We constantly hear from your camp that we must support Mr. Romney because he is the only one who can beat Mr. Obama. Never mind the fat that he is not the most Conservative in the race.

In a strange way, they are taking your advise. Perhaps they think that Mr. Gingrich is the best person to beat Mr. Romney, never mind that he has his own issues. Both Gingrichites and Romneyites lack principle because they vote against something rather than being positive and voting for something. It is sad that these two clowns are our top two candidates, but oh well.
