Rasmussen: Gingrich & Romney virtually tied as strongest GOP opponent against Obama

Which candidate would be the STRONGEST against Obama:

Newt Gingrich 30%
Mitt Romney 29%
Ron Paul 8%
Jon Huntsman 7%
Michele Bachmann 5%
Rick Perry 3%
Rick Santorum 1%
Not sure 16%

NOTE: Rasmussen's latest poll that I will post later disputes these figures and shows that Romney is by far the strongest candidate against Obama.

Which candidate would be the WEAKEST against Obama:

Michele Bachmann
Rick Perry 13%
Ron Paul 12%
Jon Huntsman 11%
Newt Gingrich 10%
Rick Santorum 7%
Mitt Romney 4%
Not sure 12%
A survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted December 10-11, 2011. The MOE is +/-3%.

Nice. Looks like Newt scored 250% worse, or weaker, than Mitt.

What a weird set of questions...which is strong and then which is weaker...yet they have differing results?

I was surprised to see Santorum as the 2nd to last in weakness against Obama but since the results differed so dramatically between the two questions, it makes me question the validity of this poll.
