Joe Scarborough: The GOP Has Already Thrown In The Towel For 2012

First, George Will. Now....Mitt has lost Scarborough too?
"You know what, I'm hearing something remarkable over the past week. Conservatives, stalwart conservatives, starting to say: 'You know what? 'I would rather lose to Barack Obama. I would rather give him four more years than elect Mitt Romney and have him spend money like George Bush and have another Republican who promises to be conservative go liberal.

Conservative leaders. This week. It's like a light switch has come on. And they say you know what, it's fine, we would rather lose.

Oh please. How many conservatives actually care about Scarborough? The funny thing is to listen to the Romney haters drag out people they themselves have called Rinos or establishment toadies to use against Romney. Funny, considering how both Will and Scarborough felt about Palin.

And btw, if anyone out there wants to come up with a viable alternative to Romney, they need to do something other than piss and moan and whine. Thus far that has been the extent of their input.

Terrye,

Romney is the type of candidate that should appeal to establishment hacks like Will and Scarborough. That's what makes this so surprising to me.

Terrye is absolutely right. this thought process that 4 more years of Obama will make the country crave an ultra right wing conservative is a pipe dream.

To such nonsensical stupidty and immaturity I say look at what 3 years has done us, what do you think Obama will do with 4 more years where he doesnt have to face reelection. He already is starting to use EOs to shape things in washington and the appointments to the NLRB will just get worse, and heaven forbid if Kennedy decides to from SCOTUS and you get a young liberal that throws the court 5-4 against the conservatives, then what?

The beauty of all this is that WHEN Romney is elected POTUS, He can tell the Wills and the Scarbourough's to kiss his royal Republican ass when it comes to getting any access to him or the WH.

He's it! And there isn't a damn thing these A-HOLES can do about it!

Yeah, cause Perry was no big spender like Bush, that's for sure. /sarc

Scarbourough's a good guy. I don't think Romney's lost him. I think he's simply repeating what others are saying. People ARE saying this. That's reality. But the numbers aren't that big. I'd like to see Romney get out more on shows to excite people more.

Amen Bosman. The GROWN-UPS in this party are going to nominate Romney, and he's going to win the general.

Then, after he's proven all the idiots wrong, they are going to be exposed as the liars and fools they are.

I been saying this all along. Hard Right Fringers (Levin, Limbaugh, Right Wing Nut) are willing to kick away 2012 and Romney, in the hopes four more yrs of Obama will result in their Queen being begged to run.

So much for winning now.

I love the thought above Romney would spend money like Bush. He didn't govern that way, but that makes no difference. They'll lie to feather their own nests.

So Scarborough is pretending to be a conservative again? This guy and Will are such jokes.

What, may I ask, has anything in Romney's past shown that he will be a big GOP spender like Bush, et al?

Answer, nothing. He was TEA Party before the party got started. His entire private career was cutting the fat and shrinking deficits into surpluses.

He did the same thing with the Olympics. He did the same thing with MA (without raising taxes... and, no, raising fees is not the same as raising taxes. One is compulsory, the other is optional.)

Nothing in Romney's past or current statements indicates that he will spend like a hog. Unless you want to listen to the liberals tell it.

Many peopel don't care about the TRUTH. Don't read more than a soundbite opinion of a Mitt critic.

I agree that NOTHING in Romney's past or current statements indicate he will spend like a hog.

Some people just wanna lie. Some people's pocketbooks are more important to them than our freedoms and liberties. Fools.

To be truthful, Bush was not as big a spender as he gets charged with..in 2006 when the Democrats took control of the Congress the budget deficit was $167 for the year..we run that in a month now. Bush was downright frugal compared to Obama.

"Bush was downright frugal compared to Obama." Thanks for admitting that.
