Rick Perry: Give me your support THEN your nuclear waste

Texas governor Rick Perry tried to sideline a state commissioner who opposed expanding the scope of a nuclear-waste landfill owned by one of the governor's biggest political donors, Reuters has learned.

Bobby Gregory, owner of a wildlife ranch and landfill company south of Austin, had opposed a plan to let 36 states send nuclear waste to a 1,338-acre site in Andrews County.

On the other side of the issue was billionaire Harold Simmons and his company Waste Control Specialists LLC, which stood to gain millions of dollars from accepting out-of-state shipments. Simmons had donated over $1 million to Perry's gubernatorial campaigns.

Perry is really a slimeball.

Why isn't all this being discussed by the media?

All these examples of cronyism and I have not heard one word about it on any of the news outlets.

What are they waiting for?

I have to wonder if those Perry supporters think that Obama and the Democrats will look the other way if Perry is the nominee.

He really does have more baggage than all the other GOP candidates combined. That includes Gingrich as well.

This is really scumbag central. This guy should be CEO of Waste Management....although he 's probably on their payroll.
Perry's right on one count though. There's no one thing that stands out in his career......it ALL seems to stink

Remember about ' Cronyism". Roger Aisles is an old business partner of Perry's campaign manager. That says part of it. Like Guiliani, is the law firm that represents his TTC Spenish buddies, CINTRA. Like his Chief of Staff lobbies for Merck.
The leaks here and there will turn into a flood

"That includes Gingrich as well." That is going a bit far.

BTW, I could be wrong, but I believe the CINTRA does a lot of business in PA and Indiana? Is Mr. Daniels involved?

So are they becoming more ignorant or more right wing? After all, this is RightSpeak, not LeftSpeak.

Email Fox! We need a solid link on that and then link/comment as much as possible.

The "memo" came from Roger....not Rupert!

Waste management is very important. It can cause hazardous effects not just in the environment, but also to the people.
