Rick Perry: China's Favorite Candidate

I think most of us are familiar with the major GOP candidates stand on China. For the most part, most feel that the U.S. is receiving the short end of our trade agreement.

I'm familiar with Mitt Romney's view and I welcome the supporters of other candidates to chime in if you feel the need.

This post isn't about the major candidates that we've been following up until this week. This post is about Rick Perry and his more than cozy relationship with China:

The sad facts behind Rick Perry’s Texas miracle
Perry’s calling card in the presidential race is his state’s record of job creation at a time when the national economy floundered. Yes, Texas has created lots of jobs, though that’s partly a reflection of the surge in oil prices, which in turn created tens of thousands of jobs in the oil and gas industries. What Perry touts in his stump speech, however, isn’t the oil boom but, rather, the low-tax, low-reg, handouts-to-business climate that prevails in Texas. It’s the kind of spiel that businesses hear every day from leaders of developing nations — Mexico and, even more, China. Read more...
Perry welcomed Chinese firm despite security concern
After a months-long courtship that included a trip to China, where he dined with the company’s chief executive, Perry announced that telecommunications firm Huawei Technologies would base its U.S. operations in Plano....
[...]
While Perry focused on Huawei’s ability to create jobs in a sluggish economy, national security experts in both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations had concluded that the global telecom giant poses a potential cyber-security risk to the U.S. military and businesses. Three times since 2008, a U.S. government security panel has blocked Huawei from acquiring or partnering with U.S. companies because of concerns that secrets could be leaked to China’s government or military. Rick Perry — China's New Best Friend?
With Texas Governor Rick Perry expected to make an "announcement" on Saturday at a conservative conference in South Carolina, scrutiny of his record is more important than ever — particularly a look at his record with regard to China. In spite of posturing as an independent Christian conservative, Perry has consistently contributed to what is called the Chinafication of America. Read more...
The next video runs 8 minutes. It is narated by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Vince Wade. I encourage all to watch it because I found it very informative and very alarming at the same time.

A Perry Presidency?......a BIG, NO THANKS!

Perry is not my top choice and this makes it less likely I will vote for him. He is still way better than Obama and has no more questionable past than Romney IMO.

Can you even remotely envision the attack on Perry. The Dems can begin by running this video at Republican rallies. the base will desert in droves

FOX is an embarrassment to media. They are as far from Fair and Balanced as you can get. Having said that, Ailes and Murdoch and their media minions are interested in profits....which is generally non -political. Yes, Hannity and Greta have their favorites ( Greta's husband work for one ) and Palin has a media outlet to campaign from, but it's all generally about money. They have a financial interest in insuring that the campaign is as long and fractionated as possible. The absolute WORST result for Fox would be an early GOP " nominee" who could focus on the President from a position of strength in April....rather than September. That of course was one of the reasons McCain got creamed. He was exhausted and only picked Palin very late in the campaign and she never got a chance to introduce herself to the country. You all know I'm not a big Palin fan.....but that's a political reality of 2008. Look for the Fox to try and make it happen in 2012.
It sells commercials.

Fox built up Perry as the savior of the GOP. Now, they own it. And this China thing is just another chink. Fox won't go after this. No way, no how. Perry is owned by them. They made him, now they have to live with Frankenstein.

I see Perry in a new light after watching this. Now it's clear to me what is motivating him, and it's NOT the best interest of Texas or the US.

It's Rick Perry.

Michelle Malkin is doing the Lord's work on Perry, bless her heart. She needs to see this.

Wow! The vetting of Rick Perry is really going badly for him. There was nothing about Perry, even in the first day or two of his candidacy, that made me think he was a better candidate than my first choice, Mitt Romney, but this information indicates to me that he is among the worst of the candidates. Maybe better than Obama, but surely we can do better than this!

I agree that this information needs to get out there.

I agree........most of any of the other candidates would be better....based on their INTEGRITY. Perry SAYS all the right things (GOODNESS!!! That reminds me of the guy in the WH right now!) but Perry's actions are a different story.

Post this on the Blaze, email it to Fox, question their agenda, post on as many conservative blogs as possible.

Malkin was getting flack for vetting a fellow conservative! Gracious! Some people have their heads in the sand. Those people NOT willing to look at Perry now and project how the Obama regime will take him down with even HALF of the stories on him will be largely responsible for another 4 years of Obama.

I would be willing to consider Perry, but his baggage is more than any of the of the other candidates......even some of them combined!!

Perry is a JANUS and wants unlimited immigration which will destroy the US and is a NWO member. That should make one pause before giving him any consideration. Vote for Dr Paul, the only honest candidate who will clean up America.
