Rand Paul takes a jab at Mitt Romney in a NH mailer

Ron Paul’s campaign is going directly at Mitt Romney with a letter to New Hampshire voters from his son, Rand Paul.

The freshman Kentucky senator does not name the Republican frontrunner, but his extended riff about supporting an anti-establishment, authentic candidate like his father has a clear target.

“Supporting more of the status quo’s defenders — whether they are Democrats or Republicans — will surely deepen our debt crisis and permanently cripple our economy,” he writes in the six-page letter, obtained by POLITICO. “It also isn’t time to elect people who wake up every day wondering what they believe. And it surely isn’t time to elect someone who passed the blueprint for ObamaCare while Governor of Massachusetts.”
The full story is HERE.

Hear that?..............That was Ron Paul's poll numbers decreasing by 1 or 2 points.

The folks in New Hampshire will not like the tone of his Romney comments. You don't talk to voters here like you're trying to lecture them. His letter would have been perfectly fine WITHOUT the Romney reference and probably would be received in a more positive light. We know all about Romneycare. I'll bet that 60-75% of NH residents are Massachusetts transplants.

As someone who has had a second home in NH for the past 26 years as well as being politically active, I can guarantee that the Paul candidacy is GOING NOWHERE up here. Just think of all the postage I could have saved him.

I'll tell Rand Paul what Mitt Romney believes. He believes in the greatness of America. He believes that with effort and persistence we can overcome the challenges we are facing, just as we have in the past.

I just think it's funny when the Paulbots try to tell us he can beat Obama. They live in a world of their own creation, much like Palin supporters. No touching base with reality.

Not to mention that Paul is 75, and both father and son have past issues with racism.

Not our best bet.
