Mitt Romney: Rick Perry, did you HEAR THAT? (VIDEO 08-24-11)

I'm glad Mitt Romney took a jab at Rick Perry yesterday while speaking at a Town Hall in Keene, NH.

Rick Perry has his own Texas version of the Dream Act in Texas.

Perry pushed for tuition credits which allows the children of illegals to pay the same rate as legal citizens of Texas. Here is Rick Perry's version of the Dream act, Texas style:

As a compassionate state, we know that for our children to succeed, they must not only be healthy, but educated. The future leaders of our two nations are learning their fractions and their ABC’s in classrooms all along this border. Immigrants from around the world are being taught in Texas classrooms, and our history is rich with examples of new citizens who have made great contributions. We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, “we don’t care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.” And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. That’s why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders, the doors of higher education must be open to them. The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede. (emphasis mine)

Romney is right! You don't create incentives for illegal aliens in your state and then not expect them to attract more of the same.

It's about time.

I'm surprised no one has put together Perry's lack of efforts to curb illegal immigration with his jobs creation there. These illegals are an endless supply of cheap labor.

Perry is basically opened his border and screwed the rest of the country.

Thanks for exposing Perry for what he is. A figment of the far rights imagination. The hear and see only what they want.

The fact that most of the media aren't questioning his record and past, and giving Perry a free pass, is disgusting.

Romney needs to do this more often and in a more media driven format. Another words on major networks.

He didn't mention Perry by name here, but everyone knows who he's talking about.

Again, notice in the Perry quote that he uses Obama's slogan (borrowed from Cesar Chavez) "SI SE PUEDE!" "Yes, we can!"
