Did Sarah Palin begin the slow letdown?

David Brody asks Sarah Palin about her intentions to run in 2012. Sounds to me like she has begun to let her supporters know to look elsewhere.

TC, who knows...she is also quoted as saying that when she announces...everybody will know about it. She also referred to herself and Bachmann as the two women candidates.

Sounded to me like she was saying she is not in. Which is what I thought anyway.

Was she on the same conference call with TPAW?

She's beginning to make her exit. She will use her family as her exit, not the fact that her latest bus tour is a bust.

Noelle, I disagree. Sure it's possible but unless she goes around and says it a few more times, there is too much other evidence to show that she is running but waiting for the right strategic moment. She is also quoted as saying that she doesn't need the campaign staff that the other candidates are vying for. She said she will run a grassroots campaign.

I agree with TC and Noelle. Sorry Palin supporters, this is just my honest opinion. I am not trying to spin this for any gains.

Passcode Creative is with her filming another ad right now. Is this what non-candidates do?

PassCode Creative out on a shoot today - new video out soon that will have a lot of folks talking... it promises to be "sweet". Stay Tuned!

Yeah, I figured you'd disagree with me JR. ;)

Dan, is it based on that comment alone? What about her statement that when she announces, everybody will know about it?

Noelle, that's funny because I figured you'd assume she isn't running.;)

JR, my reaction was based on the above video clip. You do raise a valid point with her other quote. But until I see/hear anything new, I am sticking with Noelle on this one.

Look, I really, really want Palin to get in right now. I would vastly prefer her to Perry or Bachmann. And the primary would be much more entertaining with Palin in it to duke it out with P&B.

She also spent a good part of the day with Iowa O4P coordinator, Peter Singleton. He is still of the opinion that she's running.

One more thing, it is obvious that republicans won't accept a man attacking Bachmann. Pawlenty raised very valid points, as did Santorum and Wallace. But those very valid criticisms only raised Bachmann's profile with Iowa voters. Palin, on the other hand, could attack Bachmann without being accused of being sexist.

Valid points Dan...I guess we'll see what happens.

Whether Palin gets in or not, I hope she starts criticizing Bachmann on her lack of accomplishments.

She'll quit before she even starts!

That comment about how she needs to make a decision so her supporters can jump on board with someone else... That tells it all. That comment was almost a slip of the tongue. She looked visibly uncomfortable saying it, because it slipped out.

I hope she runs, but it's not looking likely.

Palin really just needs to go away.

She is nothing but bad news for 2012.

If she runs she has no chance of winning. If she tries to influence the race... she will back someone like Bachamn which equally has no chance to win.

Palin's political career is over.... she is only desperately hanging on to what little of it is left.

Perhaps Palin plans to wait in the wings, with periodic "look at me" performances, until her main competitors self-destruct, because unlike her they were actually appearing in debates and answering questions and having their records investigated. After all, being a Janie-come-lately with little vetting worked for her in 2008 and it might work again.

For non-Establishment candidates, Pawlenty is out, Bachmann is expected to fail outside of Iowa, and Santorum will leave to take a gay rights job in Iran.

Enter Rick Perry, the wrench in Palin's plans. She may begin posing to be VP. candidate again.

The delusional bots at Sea O'Pee will never give up their dream. Their new theory that Sarah is running concerns the black toenails with white dots that Granny Grifter sported at the Iowa State Fair. According to Sea O'Pee poster GA4Palin, Sarah's toenails looked like dice and that must mean the she's going to roll the dice and run. Sheesh!

Bristol said she already decided.

So let's say the decision was to run. I can understand stringing along the media, but why tell your supporters they can jump on board with another candidate RIGHT NOW? You wouldn't say that. She's not running.

The day Bachman entered the race, it became even more unlikely she'd run. She doesn't want to be put into the position of attacking a female right winger, because that would turn off her female supporters big time. She cut her teeth on the meme of attacking "good old boys" and such, not sisters. Plus, it could get dirty, because Bachmann would let it fly, and she knows it.

I know many people think she's jockeying for a VP slot with Perry, but that's also unlikely. For one, it's not a step UP for her, it's a lateral move at best, and in her little mind it's not good enough.

I believe Bristol's little blurt-out.
Kids say the darnedest things, eh?

Running Palin as VP would be a serious liability.

Geez Anon. You sure have a lot to say on the topic.

@Hamaca....and...your point is?

I don't know what to think about Palin anymore. Part of me thinks she will still run and she's just waiting for Perry to flop a little, and part of me thinks there's no way.

You've got to hand it to her, in a way. She really knows how to milk things for all they are worth.

IF she gets in, she'll give Perry a run. I would love to see that.
