More Palin Emails Released by State of Alaska

Uh, oh. The state of Alaska released more of Governor Palin's emails today.
The state of Alaska on Wednesday released an additional 54 pages of emails from Sarah Palin's first month as governor.

Linda Perez, administrative director for the governor's office, said the emails were inadvertently omitted from the 24,199 pages of messages the state released last month that documented Palin's first 21 months in office....
Here's a sample of what was uncovered by the new release. Scandalous.
In another message from the same day, Palin detailed what she was looking for in an attorney general: "I will be appointing an independent, 'new' AG who does not have any baggage on any sides of any of the relevant issues facing the legislature. All I have been looking for is a good legal mind, someone totally committed to ethical government, a less-political, unpretentious long-time Alaskan who is free from the influence of any of the 'more of the same' circles running in Juneau."....

I'm sure Sarah Palin did a very respectable job as governor. It is very unfortunate that she quit, as that will tarnish her record. It is also very unfortunate that the media has so viciously attacked her. I hope the release of the e-mails will end the media's obsession with her. For the sake of her family, I hope they can enjoy some peace and quiet.

I'm pretty sure my hope is useless. I don't think the media will ever leave her alone, and that is wrong.

Noelle, Palin doesn't want the media to leave her alone, nor does she want peace and quiet. We might think that's what she wants for her family because that's what most of us would want. But she is different. She is perfectly willing to use her family to get more media attention.

One example of the family dynamic is when poor little Piper ran interference from the press to protect her mother from reporters. If this doesn't tell us what's going on, then nothing will! Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the mama grizzly be protecting her young daughter?

I tell you, that family knows the score, and Sarah is numero uno--unfortunately.

I don't know Sarah's heart. I don't know what she wants. As a mother, however, I want for her family to have some peace and quiet, and have a chance to heal and to mature outside of the media spotlight.

No, palin nor her family deserve the rude and inappropriate attention.I disagree martha that somehow she goes out and seeks this type of negative attention to herself and family. I believe however that sarah palin will not run for president because of this very thing, that she doesnt want to subject her family to continuous non stopping crude and vicious attacks from the media and public.

For the sake of her family she should sit this one out but work to help elect someone that will defeat obama, like maybe romney!!

"For the sake of her family she should sit this one out but work to help elect someone that will defeat obama, like maybe romney!!" Well, that chance has kind of gone out the window. Why should Mrs. Palin endorse a man who leader a camp that has trashed her children among other things.

OJ, NO ONE in the Romney 'camp' trashes Palin's children. However, they may criticize her for the things she does in relationship to her children.

Noelle, I agree. I think her family has been through enough. I think we can know Sarah's heart, though, by the things she does. She has no qualms about using her family for publicity, and has never sought to shield them from unnecessary exposure. This is simply the way she works, and so it's kind of hard for me to believe she wants to protect her family.

How can you spew all your non-sense with a straight face Martha?

OJ, you can't see my straight face, but trust me it's here.

Did you see the video of Piper backing herself into the reporters in order to shield her mom? It was pathetic, and very revealing. Do you think it's appropriate for a woman to make her young daughter feel that she needs to protect her mother in a crowd? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
