I guess there is something to that old saying, "He who laughs last, laughs best".

Smith's endorsement will be a big help for Romney in winning the Oregon primary.

That is a really offensive cartoon. I can't believe that none of my fellow Mormons have objected to it. The silence is deafening. I guess that they all care more about electing Romney than they do about this cartoon which profanes the sacred.

It's a take-off of the News Week Cover that was offensive.

That cover was published to hurt Romney. This is payback of sorts that show that Most people don't care about Romney's faith and as demonstrated in his ability to raise money.

Perhaps LDS members weren't offended because there is nothing there.

dan,

How do we object? By leaving a comment? Ok, as a mormon, I OBJECT!!!.... You have been waking up on the wrong side of the bed lately. Time to make that appointment with your bishop lol.

Dan, I agree with Rev and Ann. This simply implies that Romney is getting the last laugh after that horrendous cover.

I wonder whether Dan was speaking out when that cover was published, or if if he considered it fair game because it was intended to be a shot at the "worse than Obama" Romney rather than an "attaboy."

Meh. I've seen worse. If this is all that it takes to offend you, then you are in for a rough ride, my friend, a very rough ride.

So, you can choose to be offended, or you can choose to ignore it. Your choice.

As a mormon who spent 2 years of my life in central america wearing the white shirt and tie with the name tag, this is actually very funny and im not offended at all.

I don't find it offensive either.

It shows that the Mormon candidate has raised more than everyone else combines.

And that doesn't include the $12 million super PAC dedicated to his candidacy.

I don't particularly like this cartoon, but I DID see the original NEWSWEEK cover and found it offensive. Who wears black pants and white socks, anyway? My son (a missionary in central America right now) knows better than that!

I have been on vacation and haven't had much chance to comment. The Broadway production is vile, but the LDS Church will not make a controversy out of it so that even more people will go see it. I don't like anything that is attached to this musical, but enduring is usually the best policy. Complaining only attracts more attention.

By the way, one of the articles I read a couple of weeks ago written by an evangelical thinker commented that Romney being photoshopped on the head of one of the dancing musical bodies had become a "profile in religious courage" since Romney has refused to back away from his faith. Let's take that and run with it.
