Newt Gingrich: First speech at the RJC since staff resignations (VIDEO)

Newt Gingrich was in Beverly Hills Sunday, where he spoke at the Republican Jewish Coalition. This was his first speech since senior members of his campaign staff resigned.

Gingrich started off his speech (within the first 4:00 minutes) reasuring his supporters that he was still in the race. He went on to say that he would move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and suspend U.S. funding of the United Nations if the organization recognized a Hamas-led Palestinian state. He also said that the Obama administration was not effectively dealing with Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.

I'm glad Newt will be in the debate tonight, even though he has no shot. He knows his stuff, at least. He never sounds canned because he's not.

Other than the fact Newt has no chance in getting the nomination, He should be in his element tonight.

I actually expect Newt to bomb tonight totally. He will be asked about his remarks regarding Paul Ryan's plan.

His senior staffers all have quit, so his preparation for the debate is probably lacking.

He is prone to have a gaffe or two tonight as a result.

He is an interesting fellow though. I always like to hear what he has to say.
