Ed Rollins: Sarah Palin is 'Not Serious'

It seems that Mike Huckabee's former and almost 2012 campaign manager has landed in the Michele Bachman camp as a new TOP CONSULTANT.

Known as one who doesn't mince words, and probably a little upset that his new boss may not be receiving her fair share of media spotlight, had this to say out of the gate about Sarah Palin:
"Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years," Rollins told Brian Kilmeade on his radio show, Kilmeade and Friends. "She got the Vice Presidential thing handed to her, she didn't go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance, she gave up her governorship."
Rollins goes on to suggest that Palin's shortcomings will favor Michele Bachman in the long run:
"Michele Bachmann and others [have] worked hard, she has been a leader of the Tea Party which is a very important element here, she has been an attorney, she has done important things with family values."

"She is probably the best communicator [in the GOP field] now that Mike Huckabee's not in there," he said.
It's going to be interesting to see how Sarah Palin and her supporters react to this. Especially in light of how they reacted when ANONYMOUS SOURCES supposedly associated to Mitt Romney were credited with saying much less inflammatory statements.

Let the FUN BEGIN!

The full story is here.

Well, these are the same people that say Mr. Huntsman is serious. Mr. Rollins is a colorful character, but he is also a loose cannon. The Palin camp did not go to war with the Romney camp over one stupid comment, so I for one will hold fire, but if this is not a one off, I am ready for battle.

While I am not an anti-Bachmannite, I do understand why many of my fellow camp member look down on Mrs. Bachmann like Austrailian look down at New Zealanders or Americans look down on Canadians.

Is Romney writing this script or something? Things are looking real good for him this week.

At least he didnt he wanted to knock palin's teeth out like he said about romney.

I wonder if this also means huckabee would endorse bachmann

"I wonder if this also means huckabee would endorse bachmann" If she is one of 2 or 3 people left standing, yes. Otherwise, no.

It's too bad that Michelle Bachmann has seen fit to align herself with such a despicable human being as Ed Rollins. She just took a dive in my estimation.

I see Rollins hasn't changed since the last race. Still a fool. Great idea to alienate Palin's supporters who would probably be at least somewhat likely to go to Bachmann if Palin decides not to run...genius at work for sure.

AZ, I agree. This doesn't speak well for Bachmann.

I can see why Rollins is a little angry, Sarah is hogging all of her possible voters.......

Wait a minute....Rollins is correct...Sarah is not serious. She's not running for president. The only thing she's doing is running a celebrity circus bus tour. But..looks like she quit that too.

I have very little respect for Ed Rollins. I don't think Bachmann will get that far.

At this weekend’s Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington, Bachmann brought the house down. In a crowd of devoted religious conservatives, Bachmann hit all the right buttons and had the crowd screaming, clapping and on their feet.

While Palin was on her “private” vacation bus tour (in fact, her 10 year old Piper said to a reporter, “Thanks for ruining our vacation.”) Bachmann was looking and talking like a serious candidate for the presidency.

Every Republican presidential hopeful and most Republican political leaders showed up at the conference, organized by Ralph Reed, the former head of the Christian Coalition.

Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Jon Huntsman, Ron Paul, Herman Cain and Bachmann addressed the gathering. Newt Gingrich sent a video as he was on vacation. House Speaker John Boehner and Rep. Eric Cantor were there. Even The Donald couldn’t resist a cameo appearance.

Palin, who was invited, was the only no-show.

Big mistake, Sarah. You should have been there. You just kissed off your base. ...

It looks as though Palin is done. Everyone interested in the Republican nomination appears to have been there.

I am not a Sarah Palin fan, but I still think that Ed Rollins is a loose cannon and a despicable human being. Bachmann aligning herself with this guy is a disaster. Ed attacking Sarah Palin is also crazy. I don't like the way Bachmann's campaign is shaping up; I don't think it will serve her well in the end. Too bad;I like Bachmann (and Palin, too, but not for Pres.)
