PPP Polling: Obama still strong in Virginia

Barack Obama's approval rating in Virginia is up over 50% and he leads all of his potential Republican opponents in the state...even Governor Bob McDonnell who we threw in as a wild card.

Mike Huckabee 37/41/22 (-4)
Mitt Romney 35/43/21 (-8)
Newt Gingrich 26/54/20 (-28)
Sarah Palin 31/62/7 (-31)
Donald Trump 22/69/9 (-47)

Head-to-Head: (Obama/Candidate/Undecided)

Bob McDonnell 51/43/6 (-8)
Mike Huckabee 52/43/5 (-9)
Mitt Romney 51/40/9 (-11)
Newt Gingrich 54/37/8 (-17)
Sarah Palin 55/40/5 (-15)
Donald Trump 54/32/14 (-22)
PPP surveyed 547 Virginia voters from May 5th to 8th. The margin of error for the surveyis +/-4.2%.
