Sarah Palin systematically took apart Newt Gingrich for his comments on Meet The Press over the past weekend. She also correctly points out that he probably wouldn't have apologized if it hadn't been for the scrutiny he's received over the past several days.
In addition, she indicated that she's still considering a run for the GOP nomination. Whether she runs or not, she'll clearly be very invloved in the process.

Palin's remarks about the media during the first seven minutes were good. I liked her ideas about the "David gregory type questions" and how to deal with them. This was one of her better interviews overall.
I liked it.
(That was not so hard to type as some may think)
BTW
All this "don't apologize" talk has me wondering...haven't I heard a similar phrase recently?
Hmmmm...a song title....movie title....a book title perhaps.....
Flashback to January....
Newt Gingrich on Sarah Palin January 2011
I think that she has got to slow down and be more careful and think through what she’s saying and how she’s saying it.
How long is Sarah going to think about running?

While I like the interview overall, I don't like how she answers the 2012 questions. On a number of occasions she has stated she'd jump in if "no one else....." - I don't like that train of thought and never have.
If she wants the Presidency she should just say why SHE needs to run and not predicate it on evryone else's shortcomings. She is not the Silver Bullet to Obama.
Under contract, out of the race. It's easier to armchair quarter back, much harder to run.
Doug, if she's running, she can't just come out and say it until she's ready, or Fox would have to pull the plug. She's always indicated it would be later rather than sooner. Her strategy is working out fine so far. I don't see anyone taking the running away with it....might as well flush out the positions of her opponents. Very few people are even paying attention right now. Back in '07, I didn't start watching until November-December. I heard Romneys name a lot on talk radio, but knew next to nothing about him.
In case you haven't noticed, Romney isnt doing many interviews. He's probably hesitant to give his opponents a target to shoot at. At this point, that's probably a smart move.
It's very early. Even Karl Rove agreed with Palin that it's too early for a full blown campaign.
Palin advises candidates to ignore reporters, but to use social media. Yeah, honey that's not going to go over too well.
Doug, agreed. Palin's arrogance continues. If SHE doesn't find anyone up to snuff, they SHE will have to run and solve everything. Right. The disconnect in the Palin brain boggles the mind. She has no idea that she is by far the least qualified. No idea.

Martha,
"She has no idea that she is by far the least qualified. No idea."
This is America. Even unqualified Americans have the right to run for President.
Look at Obama!
"Palin's arrogance continues." That is rich coming from the Romney crowd.
Sarah will never run for president. She has way too many very bad skeletons in her closet and they will all come out once she announces. In fact, she built a new compound because she needed more closets for her vast number of skeletons. She will tease her base for as long as possible, sucking every penny from them that she can.
I thought she held here own in this. Less of a gaga gogo interview than some of hers in the past.
Another words, I though SHE CONTROLLED the interview instead of Hannity.
She needs to do this more opten.
Although I did think her "lame stream media" comment suggesting they were bringing down Gingrich was a little strange seeing it was folks like Krauthammer.
I thought it was a pretty good interview as well.
Did anyone notice that the warmth between Hannity and Sarah seemed a little cool. I noticed it in Sarah's face. Maybe it's just me.
I noticed it too. Personally, I think all of the contributors on Fox are over her. Hannity seemed like he wanted to smirk.
I thought the same thing Ann. She looked annoyed to me, especially at the beginning.
Rw - I think you missed my point. I wasn't calling for her say she IS running, but to state WHY she would consider it.
I don't think one of the reasons should be due to the fact nobody else measures up to he standards.
Why do youwant to run, what do you want to do? Nevermind anyone else.
"I don't think one of the reasons should be due to the fact nobody else measures up to he standards." Why not??? If the male candidates were good enough, there were not be a need for the lady from AK. Instead, the male candidates are in an exploding loose cannon contest.
@Oj...speaking of loose cannons....ummm....can you say "Palin". Sarah will never sit in the oval office, in fact, she will never run for president. This is just more or her always trying to be the center of attention. She will do or say anything if the price is right.
Like what Anon???
"Politicians' children should be off-limits, I agree. But it's the parent's job to set these limits. Sarah Palin made her children part of her record. She made them into state officials to justify free travel around the great state of Alaska. She paraded them around the country, used her daughter's pregnancy to squash the rumours about her own strange pregnancy. She encouraged Bristol to become an ambassador for a foundation that uses sexual images as a marketing tool and to stomp, shake her stuff and writhe on the dance floor.
If her children had stayed in Alaska during the 2008 campaign, if Sarah had based her narrative on her record alone, we wouldn't know anything about her precious children.
Mrs. Palin wants the media to come after a candidates record (rather than their character) So does that mean the Wasilla sports arena, the Wasilla city debt, the management of the Dairy, etc. are all fair game? She quit half way through her term, she also quit on the Oil & Gas Commission job..is that fair game?
I wish the media would seriously address her record and her claims (e.g. her knowledge about energy, etc) but instead she is allowed to skate and treated as though what she says is true and has relevance or value. She quit half way through her term, she also quit on the Oil & Gas Commission job.
If she decides to run you can be sure the media will jump on her record of lying and she won't like that either.
The sad thing is, the tabloids will do a hell of a better job vetting her than the Republicans did last time around.
I think you are all missing the point. She is NOT saying no one else measures up. She is saying that is she sees a strong constitutional candidate who looks like they could win, she will happily sit this one out. She does not WANT to be president, she recognizes that America NEEDS a strong constitutional leader who is able to stand against corruption (she has), sees America as exceptional (she does), can withstand the media vetting (tell me any other candidate we know as much about!), understands how to cut spending (she did it), plan and save for the future (forward funding of schools and emergency services in Alaska) and most important, will run to win...and she will. So while she understands that running for president and then doing the job after being elected will be a long hard haul, she will do it if called to do it, but as she has said and proven, she does not need a title to make a difference!
