Health care and Mitt RomneyRead the entire article HERE
Massachusetts health care was seen as working by 38 percent of registered voters, while just under half (49 percent) said it is not working, and 13 percent were undecided. Asked if Mitt Romney’s role in health care here would help or hurt his presidential campaign, 54 percent of voters said it would hurt; 22 percent felt it would help; and 22 percent were undecided.
“Health care continues to define Mitt Romney and weigh down his presidential campaign like an iron stethoscope,” said Paleologos.

Patrick's fault?
Right Wingnut,
"Patrick's fault?"
It's not Patrick's fault if you don't mind blaming Palin for any problems in Alaska and it's relationship with the oil companies.
Governors leave their states, they expect their successors to pick up where they left off and rectify any problems that occur after their departure.
Also, changes made by their successors should not fall on their shoulders either.
Who is the Governor there NOW?
How Long has he been Governor?
What were polls saying about MA Health Care's popularity during Romney's administration and up until recently?
The poll tells me that MA Health Care is not popular under Deval Patrick.
That's a very weak response, anon.
"That's a very weak response, anon."
So you're saying that all the polls were wrong before this one?
THAT'S a LAME VIEW!
Let's see...
It's Patrick's fault, the poll must be wrong, and anon somehow dragged Sarah Palin into the conversation.
Fail.
Perhaps it's Ted Kennedy's fault too?
Right Wingnut
Fail?
You're only the author of the this blog, not the score keeper.
We'll see if others agree with anon or you!
When you buy a car and fail to have it serviced, Is it the Manufactures fault when something goes wrong?
Why don't you sign your name so I know who I'm talking too?
Anyway, gotta run. I'll check back later.
The question asked was if healthcare was working in Massachusetts in 2011 ? It was not whether healthacre was working in 2006. It was not whether healthcare was working in 2003.
If you asked if healthcare was working in Alaska or Arkansas ot Mississippi, you would probably get the same answer. Healthcare " ain't " really working anywhere.......but it has been 5 years since Romney left office. It is like blaming Jack Welch because GE's stock is down so much and NBC is floundering
CraigS
If it is not working, then why? I think that is the question in relationship to Romney.
Is it because of Patrick, or is it a flaw inherent in the plan?
Is this poll true, or out of whack. After all, it was just a short time ago that MassCare enjoyed 84% approval.
-Martha
blah blah blah..............same ol garbage by romney haters.
Romney is the BEST out of the field to fix this mess.ROMNEY 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, MassCare went from 84% approval in Oct/Nov 2010 to 38% approval in Apr 2011? Something is amiss, I would say.
-Martha
This kinda throws a wrench in one of Mitt's talking points, doesn't it?
I love how some of you insist on shooting the messenger.
Healthcare " ain't " really working anywhere....... - Craig
Hey, Craig...you, and the other Rombots have been telling us how wonderful health care is in Massachusetts, and how sh!tty it is everywhere else. Now, it sucks in Massachusetts too?
RW - No, I don't think it does at all. And the question remains of the wide discrepancey in the poll numbers. I know that past polls before the NOV 2010 one, also showed that it enjoyed strong support. So what has happened in the past 6 months to change it? I doubt anything. So, I'll believe this poll when I see a few more that are similar.
Also, I don't think any of us Romney supporters have said what you claimed in your response to Craig. What we have said is that Romney solved a problem for his particular state. He stands behind it, is proud of it (as well he should be) but said it isn't perfect. I don't know what law dealing with healthcare could be perfect, BTW.
-Martha
"I don't think any of us Romney supporters have said what you claimed in your response to Craig." When it comes to health care, Craig is part of the Blame America First crowd, so we need mandate to fix this 'crappy' country. Even MA is not buying that anymore.
Well now, there are two polls recently on MassCare, this one with 38% approval and one last month with 84% positives.
Let's consoder both outliers, split the difference and call it as 61% say it's good and working....hardly devasting news.
Next!
Just keep telling yourself those bedtime stories
Doug, I would like to see the question asked in the first poll you referenced. Do you have it?
38% think it's working. Someone noted on HotAir that the number is coincidentally close to the % of Mass. residents who don't pay a dime for coverage.
Screw you all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beck 2012!!! He will help us defeat Obama. Yea he might go a little overboard but thats how he is. I would take Beck for president over any of the current crop of candidates....
"Right Wingnut: "..But having said that, polls don't mean sh!t right now...."
Ha Ha, Cbox. You know I was talking about 2012 polls. People aren't paying attention, and have no idea who is running and who isn't.
On the other hand, the good folks of MA have to live with the reality of the health care plan that Mitt left them with. According to this poll, they don't think it's working.
To be fair to governor romney, I think things would have been a lot better as far as MAcare goes if he had been governor there still. I think he would have implemented it better. In a way I think Gov patrick made it worse. Romney definitely would have done and changed some things in there to make it not as negative as it is today.
I guess it's all over for Romney.
This poll must account for the reason Romney's 2012 poll numbers have started to rise even higher this week?
Oh wait......
Do you think they account for the reason Palin's numbers are lower than usual this week?
ummmmm.......
RWN,
HaHaHaHa!!!
Just hoping this ONE POLL means something, doesn't make it so.
You seem to dislike polls but have a fondness for this one.
I'm with Doug and, ALL the Anons on this.
Bosman,
Simple question for you, as a resident of MA...
Q21. Do you think healthcare in Massachusetts is working?
Yes
No
Undecided
Refused
