Egypt to open up relations with Iran

I knew there was a reason that I was uneasy about what would happen when Mubarak was toppled.
Cairo is ready to re-establish diplomatic ties with Tehran after a break of more than 30 years, Egypt's foreign minister said on Monday, signaling a shift in Iran policy since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak.

"The Egyptian and Iranian people deserve to have mutual relations reflecting their history and civilization," said Foreign Minister Nabil Elaraby after meeting Iranian official Mugtabi Amani.
The full story is here.

Could this be a partial result of President Obama's inaction and/or our intelligence agencies lack of pre-planning of Mubarak's possible demise and WHAT WOULD HAPPEN AFTERWARD?

This is not something I take as a good sign. Israel, beware.

In addition to that, the Muslim Brotherhood looks poised to gain control when the elections are help.

Once again, Palin was right....so far at least.

With other recent Presidents, EVEN Bill Clinton, when something crazy happened in the world, I never thought twice about our POTUS reaction.

NOW, under Obama, I always have this queasy feeling that what ever he does, will make it worse.

So far my feelings have been justified.

That's a good one, Bos, and I agree with you. Maybe Obama and his people could take that as a standard. They should resolve to decide what they should do--then do just the opposite. Maybe things would turn out better than they have been in their foreign policy decisions! :)
